If the world was made of deep sand he would be great, but it's not. There's many different types of tracks out there.

And he looks like a squid on a SX track.....

It's fucking knar if you haven't seen it. One of my fav vids in recent years actually but Hearlings needs to come to the Nats and get some humility beat into him. Doubt he will seeing Kenny-boy struggles

A few things, took out Tonus for no reason when he had made the pass, took out tommy searle on purpose, constantly swerves off the start into searle's line to try to take him out or make his start bad.. just some dirty riding really...

Hate to break it to you, but he probably wouldn't be top 10 here on a non-sand track, Kenny kicked his ass on all the non-sand tracks last year.

He'd be quicker than Musquin in my opinion. At the very least, to say he wouldn't be top 10 is absolute nonsense. Regardless of Villopoto's start last year in that MXdN race, do you think someone like Will Hahn, Blake Wharton or Jake Canada could hold off Villopoto for 40 minutes? And on a track that's the polar opposite of a sand track?

Comparing his speed to previous years is silly. Herlings is only 17. One year at this age makes a massive difference.

pretty sure he would pick supercross up if he had some time training on supercross tracks (he was just playing around on this vid whilst on holiday)

and as for the 2nd comment! lol - you obviously didnt watch the gp's or the des nations last year!

wouldnt be top 10!!! brilliant

I agree. Not to get off subject with this KR thing but... Roczen may not be doing "quite" as good in some peoples eyes as expected. And this is inevitably being used as a stick to beat the GP fans. But there have been plenty of GP riders in the past who have either lived up to, or surpassed expectations in their first season. Everyone's different. To think Herlings wouldn't at least be top 10 at a National is barking imo.

Though I rather Tommy win this championship, and though Jeffrey said and did some moronic things earlier in the year - there comes a point when you have to let it go. He is only 17 and we probably all had moments similar to that (unreasonable moments I mean) when we acted like idiots and then curled our toes in embarrassment afterwards. He's been totally alright for a few races now.

you really think hes struggling? hes 4th in the championship only 1 point behind Tomac in his rookie year in the AMA and hes only 17 or 18. Seems like a great effort considering most kids his age are still at school...

Not making the box, agreed. Not making top 10? Do you even follow this sport?

X2 Dj

He may well be faster than Musquin and might even have done better than Roczen on occasions, his hardpack skills have come on extremely well, there was nothin in at the end of the last season either (just a reference),that SX track may well have been one of the very first times he's turned a wheel on one too,it actually reminds me of the sound of that JS7 crunch a while back, ouch Pinch

THEacid test?? How he'd adapt the the Good Ole' US of A Smile

Machine,I often agree with you on most stuff, but take a look at this vid I posted once before, its from earlier on in the season but the kid can Hustle..

i remember that race- those 2 were flying last year, had some great battles! they were pretty evenly matched for alot of the year, who's to say that jeffrey wouldnt have adapted to the american series/ tracks better than ken? who knows really, just speculation.
Crazy how good they both are for their age though.

He is fast everywhere.

The thing is that stats are there for everyone to see,Moto wins,Overall wins, then Championships but how they got there is something you have to look way deeper for,Kenny won most times last year, and had some truly dominant peformances,Herlings took his wins often by big margins as he is a specialist on certain tracks but some 2nd places went down in races like that or other circumstances,at the end of the day Herlings wasn't actually his bitch for want of a better phrase!
