Dungey with Alessi, Stewart or Weimer, then Baggett, Tomac or Barcia. Any of those will be a lethal combination with clean starts and no DNF's. Well, actually...just without any DNF's. We can overcome a couple bad starts. France will be tough, Australia will be tough, Not sure who else is going to be with Desalle for Belgium and Herlings for The Netherlands. Err. wait, Reed probably won't ride, will he?

Belgium has a solid team, arguably the best after USA with Desalle, Jeremy Van Horebeck, Joel Roelents or Ken De Dycker.

Ithink Belgium has a real chance to win the mxdn this year. Desalle, De Dycker, Strijbos, Van Horebeek, Roelants.. They're all top runners if you ask me.. France will come prepared too.

That is not a good idea at all considering Stewarts track record since 2009. He may not finish the race. Dungey, Alessi, and Bagget/Tomac/Barcia would be the no-brainer.

I think if Dungey or Stewart are unable to go for some reason, One of the three 250 guys has to be your option. Preferably Barcia because he has shown good results on the 450.I think Southwick and the final points should play a main factor in the decision for the mx2 rider. I'm very excited to see how the boys measure up to the exceptional sand riders in Europe. When is RV supposed to be healthy again anyway? I would rather see Barcia on the 450 than a sub par RV.

Ferris is out for the rest of the year with a shoulder injury. Luke Styke seems like our best 250 option at this stage. If Reedy isn't recovered (he should be by then) or if Metty gets hurt, then Todd Waters or Lawson Bopping would probably be the way to go as a fill in

Bopping would be a decent call considering how rough and deep the sand track at Braidwood is. That things kicked my ass may times.

Then again if Marmont gets on a roll in the second half of the year he has to be in contention, he was quickest aussie at Wanneroo with a busted knee and is a multiple manjimup champ so has sand chops.

Stykesy has to be a sure bet if healthy, he's been a step above all year.

I think no matter who USA send this will be the closest it's been since 08 when you just about won, but you'll still win. Dungey, Stewart, Alessi, Weimer, Short, Bagget, Barcia, Tomac and maybe even RV.. You guys could send 3 teams and sweep the poxy thing lol Other teams struggle to have 3 healthy guys!!

IF you had watched Herlings and Cairoli round Lommel or Leirop in person then you would probably have a very different opinion. I understand the overcoming need to be so much more right than a euro but as 99% of us here are true moto fans who travel and spend quite alot of $$ and ££ to watch our heroes then maybe you should value an opinion that is different than your own and also alot more informed on the present subject.

I too think Herlings will demolish everyone at Lommell. I just think Toni C222 will be 10seconds back from Jeffrey.

And don't be surprised to see Belguim or France win it by going 3/4 in every moto.

have to back up 'barrs211' on this, Herlings really got an attitude but is really one of the fasted riders in deep sand. Was last year allready faster than Roczen in the sand (maybe at the same level) don't get me wrong, think as a team the U.S. can send maybe 6 or 7 different riders and still win the Nations but the fastest riders i think's gonna be Herlings, Roczen, Cairoli.
