So I'm checking my guide to set my recorder to get the races.....and I don't think we are going to see Moto#2 of the lites class?

on Fuel
10:00am - 11:00am pst ....1st 450 moto
1hr break with the Thillbillies
12:00pm - 1:00pm pst........1st 250 moto

On NBCSC
1:00pm - 2:00pm pst ...........2nd 450 moto

Then......nothing after that?

You guys see something different on your guides?

moto 1 of 450 is on standard NBC

moto 1 of 250 is on Fuel

1 hour break is for moto 2 450 live on NBCSN

moto 2 of 250 is on fuel

according to a previous thread that DC commented on

This is confusing as hell! Why in the world is NBC showing just the first 250 moto? Usually on a prime time channel....that is what they show...the 450's. If it's live....then that is what it has to be. This is the craziest tv schedule yet.....

Hey A-hole.....I wasn't complaining....just saying it was a little confusing. It's 4 motos on 3 different channels....and none of them are consecutive on any one channel. I was more or less just trying to figure it out.....then once I did , others could read what the actual schedule was.

Dboivin.......the 450 motos are on NBC and NBCSC.....which are two separate channels.....which a lot of people don't get the NBCSC channel ( I do )........just thought it was a weird way of broadcasting all the races is all.

Just for you Jeffro.....you're welcome...

Thanks, OScottie, I will hold put on my helmet and prepare to get blasted from people who don't like changing the channel four times over the course of an afternoon to watch motocross all day.

Please remember: It's not like showing one half of the baseball game on one channel and the second half on another; it's showing two completely different games -- the 250 game and the 450 game -- as they overlap each hour on different channels.

Motocross is not easy to broadcast live -- two different classes, two motos each, four straight hours at a minimum -- but we're getting there. I know working the remote control four times might induce serious arm-pump for some bench-racers, but it's a little to ask for a lot of live (and free) motocross coverage.

Uh-huh.....I really flew off the handle there. Blink

Anyways.......I don't mind changing the channel.....but I work a lot and need to set the recorder. I couldn't find one of the motos ( The NBC show ) until Crash posted it above. I'm grateful that we get to see all these motos on same day....and even better yet....live. Just gets confusing on where it's actually showing was my point.

NetMXer, if the Super Bowl were actually two games going on at once, like we have with 250 and 450 classes, it might be on different channels. God knows the conference playoffs are when it's NFC (Fox) and AFC (CBS).

Having to switch channels is not perfect, I know, but it's better than nothing, and it's the only motocross racing on U.S. television right now. I am sure the GP package is great if you live in Europe, but it's not on TV here in the states (though I did pay my $94 fee to get the full streaming package on my computer).

We are working on getting more and more live (and free) coverage. The FMF High Point National had the second (edit, my bad) highest-rated live TV show Fuel has ever aired, and they are big into UFC and all -- and those same two motos streamed live (and free) on Allisports.com to boot. The networks are taking notice of what we are doing, and they really appreciate the fan support Lucas Oil Motocross is getting from the audience.

For what it's worth, when I watch sports at home, I change channels every five minutes to see other games and scores. Not sure why doing it three times in four hours to watch all four motos of an outdoor national is such a pain for some, but we are trying, and it's working...

I really don't understand why people complain so much about changing channels. Is it really that hard America?

A fantastic work u guys put into this, and over here in Eurozone its fantastic to view what we always wanted some years ago.
Been trying to get a Q through to you DC, its not easy to get the Fuel version of the 2nd motos here in Sweden as very few have acces to that network. So, all i wonder, will we shortly be able to have the 2nd motos live also on alli or some other online way?
I def would like to pay for it, if thats the thing.

lol, i was about to say the same thing. can you imagine a nfl schedule looking like this.......

4th quarter life at 1:00 on CBS
3rd and 1st quarters 4:00 on FOX
2nd quarter 9:30 on ABC

you can imagine how many fans would lose interest real quick.

on another note you cant really blame the networks, outdoor motocross just inst formatted for live TV. it never has been and probably never will hince we will have to live with the crazy tv schedules on less than mainstream networks.

It was all so much easier when all we had was the USGP on ABC Sports 3 months after the race and the entire deal was compressed in to an hour.

I'm asking myself the same thing. I'll simply sit down this evening, scroll through my DVR and select the four programs. It takes all of two minutes. Dayum, that was hard. What will I do with the rest of my evening?

Now, if you're still recording on VHS, I can totally understand your frustration.
6/14/2012 5:59am

My setup! Seriously just messing around, it's a long show, it would be hard to fit it live all in one slot.

I would rather watch it a few hours delayed rather than live if we could get a 2 or 3 hour show of both 450 motos then a show of both 250 motos. if you stay off the net till you watch then its just as good as a live show. Actually I try to catch all motos on the dvr anyway so I cn fast forward through all the comercials and filler bs.
