Dig it, I'm no Saint Bernard, but the family (pictured) that stole together - was the most pathetic.

Those damn banners are fairly expensive to print too. That family is probably carrying off 300--500 dollars worth of banners

It might not look quite as bad if they only had one but the three armfuls looks like greedy thievery. Sad

Mother nature (if you believe in that sort of thing) took a lot of banners at Thunder Valley, maybe Rupert could teach her not to do that..... just sayin'

Nope. Transported around. You're looking at a LOT of $ resources, a length of track coverage might be $20 grand per

season, per sponsor. And , the banners themselves cost $.

It's simple thievery.

Not to mention, they say "DO NOT STEAL THE TRACK BANNERS" over the intercom many times throughout the day.
I think security kicked some kids asses for stealing banners last year or so at Dilla.
I remember a thread with video of it on here last year.

Here's a ideal..how about they sell them in pits along with the generic t-shirts. The merchandise they sell at the races is pathetic. They seriously need to look at NASCAR merchandising in the pits if they want to increase revenue.

Agreed. And OPEN up the pits. Let the Racers/ teams display and sell their wares.

Long, long overdue.

isnt banner stealing a tradition at the nationals?

i think it's in the MotoXXX 6 video and they show the fans storming the race after Redbud in 2001 or 2002 and they're just tearing all the banners down.

Maybe some of the more expensive banners are taken from round to round, but the ones that line the track and just left at the track. They staple those things to wooden stakes, they ain't paying anyone to remove staples and clean the banners.

Stealing is wrong, so not excuseing it.

I saw someone steal the M from the Monster sign at Glen Helen a few years ago. Dude had a screw gun lol

I'm sure nobody in this thread has ever taken anything that didn't belong to them.

If I win the lottery I´ll sponsor the nationals and have all the banners on the track bear my picture, and perhaps add something like "Alex is awesome". I will grace garage walls all across the US
