JS7, RD5 and either Tomac or Baggett.

Looks like another win for the Americans in the works.

I say Tomac. Bagget's performance last year was pretty underwhelming.

This ain't last year. I think we better wait and see who is on fire later this summer before making any final decisions though.

And what if by the end of the nationals all four are hurt or are you looking into an 8 ball?

We still win? Short, Tedesco, Barcia. Two former MXDN champs and Barcia. (I keed... I keed)

Long ways to go before MXDN talk. Not until Unadilla-ish....

We should just send Jason Lawrence, Austin Stroupe, and Damon Bradshaw and still whip everyone's ass.

MX1 JS7

MX2
I'm hoping Barcia is the MX2 guy for a few obvious reasons.

(He is a great sand rider and should smoke em all at Southwick, I predict anyway.
Those 250F's off the start at Lommel are going to get smoked by the 450 guys, I'm assuming in that ungodly deep sand.
Barcia would be a great guy for playing catch-up with his sand skills and his aggressive type riding.
Seeing him work his way/slam/bang/dice his way through the pack at Lommel would be epic and a treat for all fans of the sport. Not to mention he is never easily intimidated on the track and full of confidence. I'm sure he would not have any problem putting a world champ on the ground if need be,for a Team USA win.lol

I just wish you guys would stop confusing Barcia's Supercross success with outdoor motocross prowess. He may slam bam dice and slice indoors, but outdoors, he holds Bagget's jock.

I think in the end it boils down to DeCoster's judgement. do you select the team based on 1 riders performance, at one NAtional because it's sand? Or do you go off overall performance for the entire year?

Tough call. None of us are Roger.

I think this year is a little different, some have even said TEAM USA will be the under-dogs in regards to winning any motos or the event OA.
However when the team is picked, they usually take the top guy USA MX2 rider in points, saying that they respectfully EARNED their position on the team.
So normally if JB wants to make the team, I assume he is going to have to be the points leader at the present time the team is chosen. But that may not be the case this year being how the event is being held in Lommel.
I think Decoster will make the right choice.....being that he is from Belgium, he might know a little about racing/riding in the sand over there. Wink
Guess we will see. Smile

Never heard the USA rumor,is this a recent rumor?
I heard last year,Germany (Teutschenthal) was going to host the 2013 MXoN and the deal was signed ,sealed & delivered.

Edit: And the 2014 MXoN is supposed to be in Latvia.
Then possibly Brazil in 2015.

Seriously, if Dungey & Stewart stay healthy, having Barcia, Tomac or Baggett will make for a great team!

Yeah ....looks like it had changed since then.
Not sure why they went with Germany for 2013 ,but last year the Germany deal was done.

Which ever American wins the championship here in the big boy class will be our MX1 guy/Team Captain, second American in points will be our MX3 rider. That is normally how they do it,I dont see why it would change, both are great riders.
Either way, both Ryan & James will be an asset to Team USA regardless of who wins the championship this season/rides MX1 or MX3.
Looking very forward to the Lommel MXoN.

That thread is nearly 2 years old,it's Germany next year,2014 Kegums-Latvia

I think it might be a few years until GL and Youthstream are back over there, unless it replaces 2015 in France,2016 is Italy so you could be waiting until 2017 if he decides to hold another event in the US that is I guess

If the next US MXdN isn't at Red Bud, there will be a riot. I don't care if its 2013, 2014, or 2015 (2017 seems extreme), but I would love to see how many double the leap
