Seeing as the cbr is a 23.7 hp machine with 4 inches of non adjustable travel that is assembled on Thailand or India(wiki) and uses the same tooling since probably the mid 80's to produce....I can see why is it cheap. But that two stroke smoke must be clouding your vision on reality
This guy dunked it. Hard to see the facts through the two stroke rose colored glasses.

A low revving, high quantity, low tech street bike != a high revving, lean, compact, and high tech dirt bike that has a shit load of R&D and high tooling costs due to constant changes and higher tolerances. Jesus Christ.

That's just hard to believe it could happen around here.

Their plan to sell fewer bikes for more money has worked on me. I won't buy one.

As far as the YZ250 goes, it's called good business. Why sell every unit you make for $5000 when the market will pay $7000?

Its funny, I was at a dealership the other day and checked out the little cbr, I asked the salesman the price and he confirmed the 4500 price tag. I then said to him, Well for a couple grand more a person should get the 600. NOT! Try seven grand more he said. Talk about out of touch.

Cbr price similar to ninja 250 price. Now 600cc are a whole mother beast with more power, fully adjustable suspension, steering damper, bigger and dual discs, and alum frame. That's wht price diff is greater than 2K.
