I don't think this would be good for the sport. They are all in right now but if coke takes over they may have a big change in what they do.

I think it COULD be bad, I think that Coke would rather put their money into a bigger platform like nascar, formula one etc etc.

Anheuser Busch and Inbev deal did not work out good for many of the motorsports supported by AB.

They already own Full Throttle and Title sponsor NHRA, SX is the perfect series for the Energy Drink genre so I doubt they'd bail as title Sponsor.

None of the ones I've tried really have given me much energy I must admit. I've heard NOS (also a Coke brand) has a better kick than most

Yep if coke buys up monster it will big a big hit to the off road world. The supercross title sponsor, Team Kawi sponsor, Pro Circuit sponsor.........Not what Coke would normally do to help sell thier products. I hope it falls through just to be safe.

Monster is already in Nascar, Formula One, WRC, MotoGP, etc, so I don't see what Coke would change. Keep a strong hand on all market segments. I would think that they're buying it for what Monster is, not to make it into something else.

Wait for Monster to invade the South America, Africa and Asia, where Coke is strong.
