So after years of being a 4 stroke advocate I switched sides, now on a 02 RM 250. So it has taken me a while but I am really liking the way this thing works, the suspension was just done by MCR and I have seemed to dial it in real nice. I really have no complaints, but I read the posts about the 04 and newer being a great handling bike and wonder what the difference is?
Like I said mine handles awesome but can it be better with some of the 04 parts? was there a chassis change?[/img]

I raced my friends 2003 and could not tell the difference from a 2006 chasis wise. The 2003 had the motor done so it was alittle faster.

Bike looks good man. Are you sure that's not an 01? I'm pretty sure in 01 was the last year of that box style swingarm and 02 they went to a tapered swingarm. I think a lot of people like the power output of the 04's more than the 02. I can't tell too much of a difference.

Just going by what the guy said that sold it to me, could be an 01 I guess but I thought the 01 had different plastic?

the 01-03 had reliability issues, it wasnt until 04 that they got most of the issues ironed out

my 03 rm125 had cylinder plating issues (flaking) and they fixed that on the newer ones supposedly...

the suzukis are really good bikes though, enjoy it!

How did you get the newer fender and plate to work?

nice bike pacetruckdrvr.

Here's mine (a 2003), which I love. Totally rips and haven't had a single problem with it. And I'm coming off of CR500's.

I have always loved RM's.
