So ........now that JLaw is out of the picture and won't be hanging around the pro pits for a while, do you think Josh Hill will clean up his act and ride like we know he's capable of??

Josh loved the track today, was yelling, "Red Bud!" to the spectators as he was going over LaRocco's leap, and was having too much fun whipping over the jumps.

Hill is my rider to watch in the next few seasons like Alessi has been Bobbys for sometime now.
Think Hill had the peer pressure thing with the rental car deal. I can't see him being another......
From what I've seen and heard, he's a good kid dedicated to making it in the sport much like Alessi is.
Much like Suzuki made a good choice with Alessi, Yamaha did as well with Hill and rewarded them with a win and several 2nd places in his first SX season(second SX/lites season overall).
He needs some more seat time, especially Outdoors compared to most others in the big class to really see if he'll be a top rider for many years to come...Still only 18.
I'm stickin' with him to be one of the big dogs in SX/MX.

I say no! Josh's results are not due to J-Law. His results are due to him not being fast enough to run up front consistently in the outdoors. He is a good rider, but not capable of JS and MA speed IMO of course.

Well they do live next door to each other. Or should I said did? Who knows if J-Law will still be able to afford living there anymore?

Hill will be a force; already is in SX.......he will outdoors soon enough. Count on it.

Not as big of a threat as you think he will be. He is not consistent and never has been since he came in to the pro ranks. Not in the Lites or MX class. He had 4 podiums in SX this year, but finished 16th or WORSE 5 times!! Thats hardly a force!

No hate at all. Jay is a decent guy IMO, not gonna beat a dead horse about his off-track stuff though. I've met him a few times in person, as a matter a fact possibly I know him just a little since I do work for a company whom sponsored him and had talked to him on quite a few occasions! I honestly wish the best for him and hope he gets a good ride next year or whenever, he's got worlds of talent.

Pretty funny that in every Hill thread you have to be there to shoot him down.

Personally I hope Hill lights a fire under his ass like he is capable of doing.

Name another rider that's won an SX main in his 2nd Pro season recently? Name one that's won or has been consistent recently in both, again in 2nd Pro season.

My point is consistency. Ask yourself this. If you were a Factory team and you had to pick between the 3 riders I mentioned and your Josh Hill. Win or no win in the big boy class, he would be the last of the 4 guys you would take on a team. Not to mention Hills win came in a year that had over HALF of the factory riders on the sideline.

OH, I could have sworn I asked when RV or MA won a supercross class main. I could care less about the rest of the discussion.

I'm pretty sure Josh already moved out of that house next to J law because of the distractions.

Again, I don't put any stock in Hill's win. We will see next year when the starting line is FULL of factory guys and not half missing. Hill will be lucky to podium next season if he is even on a factory team.

I don't get your beef with hill. The kid can haul the mail, and will be getting a big raise next year, not fired. He had some issues at a few races this year, but showed tons of speed. Not sure why he's not doing good right now, but he did ride awesome at the nationals he did last year on the 450. I'd definetely put him above almost all factory riders in SX.

I dont have a beef with Hill. I am just saying he has been inconsistent ever since he turned Pro. He won't be getting a raise next year. He will be lucky to get his contract renewed. Factory's dont care about potential. They care about results. He has had more bad finishes than good ones.

But your point is useless....being the 4th rider in that group is outstanding. Damn its sensational. How can you justify that. No team can have all four riders so I would assume Josh is in the top according to your rationalization...oh and also a win is a win, its motocross riders get hurt and crash and if he won on that day oh well....BUT he still won right?
