Looks uncomfortable, like hes wresling the bike to make it turn which is not a necessity on those zooks. But it sure is working for him!

Almost looks like he's using some road racing tech. Pull on the outside bar to make the bike lay over more. It doesn't take much pressure on the outside bar and she'll lay right over. Not that big of a deal on concrete but I don't know if it would work well on dirt.

I dislike the 800 crew but this is the best he's ever done in SC IMO and you guts want him to change his style?

Im no mike Alessi fan, but this picture is a fraction of a second in a 15-20 minute race. Maybe he came into the corner too hot and bobbles, maybe he is counter acting a highside push. who knows, I just know that everybody has had a horrible picture of them riding, and some are flawless.

Mike Alessi and Textbook form definitely are strangers but c'mon this is a bit nit picky to be breaking down a picture of a guy hauling ass through a deep supercross rut.

Mike's looking forward, working the throttle, feathering the clutch, knee up and clearing the bar. I suppose he could be standing the bike up a bit more by moving his body more to the center of the bike to keep from digging pegs/chain/sprocket into the ground. He'll need that to carry greater corner speed, but Mike still has more skill than 99.9% of our moto world.

Positive results are via attrition only....don't be fooled. Millsaps too, for that matter.

Every rider has their own technique that works for them. From my days growing up and going to Gary Bailey school, he would say that he "failed to regrip causing his right elbow to drop whice leads to a lesser ability to control the bike."

Now, I've personally noticed that many of the younger riders today ride with their elbows "down"... Barcia, MA, Bogel. Guy Cooper was one of the "worst offenders" (as stated before).

Let me also say, I am not one to judge another's style by any means... I think this old pic of me explains that.

Mikey is more agressive looking than I was here... I can tell you there was a set of sand whoops coming out of this turn I was getting ready for. FWIW, Grain of salt.

Sherwood, Phill is working on his fourth or fifth account, so he's working on devloping a schtick that has some longevity. These things take time.
