James Stewart's Win Percentage Per Year in Sx, Per Bike:
2002 - KX125 - 38%
2003 - KX125 - 75%
2004 - KX125 - 100% (88% if you count the race he didn't even start)
2005 - KX250 - 50% (42% if you count Phoenix when he didn't even start)
2006 - KX450 - 47%
2007 - KX450 - 77%
2008 - KX450 - 50%
2009 - YZ450 - 65% (before the redesigned Yamaha)
2010 - YZ450 - 33% (redesigned Yamaha)
2011 - YZ450 - 29% (redesigned Yamaha)
2012 - YZ450 - 17% (redesigned Yamaha)

I do not think James would have 75%/50%/77% win percentages nowadays, but his podiums would be higher and he would have more wins. It is clear, after 3 seasons, he doesn't agree with the bike. The bike is not bad... it is actually probably a total beast, but he just doesn't gel with it and his confidence is shaken.

I still believe he can go faster than anyone if he is in tune with his bike and his head isn't shaken. He can place a bike anywhere he wants when he is confident. I still believe that. I just don't know if it is too late now. I hope he can make it back to the 2006/2007/2009 days though.

Maybe list the number of races missed due to injury.
If that were the case, then all of Carmichael's and Reed's win percentages would drop a bit too. It goes both ways.

2010 was reality show time, too. Cause for lack of focus, too?

IMO, I think we may see JS7 step away from MX/SX before he leaves JGR. His desire has always been to move to 4 wheels after his 2 wheel days were over. If he bails out of his JGR contract, then he can effectively kiss his 4 wheel career goodbye.
How do you figure? JGR is not the only team that can get him to Nascar. James has Red Bull, Nike, Oakley and Go Pro that have all had involvement in Nascar before or currently. To have an African American with that kind of backing, they can definitely put a package together to shop to existing teams. There are a whole lot of skilled and experienced team guys of out a job in Nascar and a lot of owners with the infrastructure to run a program like James needs. They are just looking for the money to do it. If James shows a serious commitment to it, he will get an opportunity whether it be JGR or not.
