Maybe, I don't know. I am always skeptical of online say-so's. It seems everyone is an expert when behind a keyboard. At any rate, there is no word here:

Cycle news is usually a little behind on the breaking news.

jlaw i say does not have a ride next year. but like the pre show said he can win races and has the #1 plate so someone is going to take a risk next year.

I feel confident in saying that that is unlikely.

You know somebody will step up, it might not be Factory but he will be able to ride that #1 for a few years.

I'd expect official word (press release style) early next week.

Will he land somewhere? Yeah. There's no doubt he has plenty of talent.

But first we need to see what kind of penalty (or penalties) the AMA hands down...and how long they might be. I'm thinking it'll be a while before we hear the final outcome of that one, too.

Maybe I'm just bitter that he's wasting a promising career, and maybe I don't WANT him to get another ride. lol

I say make an example of him.

flame away!

As if he didn’t have enough problems already, Yamaha of Troy’s Jason Lawrence was arrested for disorderly conduct while at Red Bud Track N Trail on the evening of July 4th, and released the following morning from the Berrien County Jail on $100 bail. Lawrence was at Red Bud Track N Trail for round six of the AMA Toyota Motocross Series when an alleged fight broke out between Lawrence and another person, ending in Lawrence’s arrest.
"

A fight? That's it?

That's what all the fuss is about? B-F-D.

That could have been something as little as some drunk makes a crack about Lawrence's g/f and a shoving match breaks out. Maybe someone gets a shiner.

Does anyone actually know FIRST HAND what went down?

Race, this might come as a shock, but when Jason's out playing and partying, most photographers, writers, and riders are in bed. Try TMZ-Moto? Smile

I see. So now there are several hundred posts flying around on this and no one even knows what actually happened. That's typical.

You can be arrested for jay walking in some places. Now go to bed and STFU Bob ... before I have the bar cut you off.

that aint gonna happen. mitch is very demanding of his riders (and he should be as he gives them the best equipment 250F rider can have) from their performance on and off the track to how they take care of the sponsors. "jay" is not PC material PERIOD...... plus i wouldnt think "jay" want to ride for mitch for those reasons alone... he'd get tired of it ( like the ryno thing) and be over it....

I don't think that JLaw has the liberty of making those choices though. If Mitch offered JLaw a ride, that would be a better situation than JLaw was already in. That is a win win for him. He would of course have to try to find a trainer and start buckling down.

i dont think he can... its just his nature to be who he is no matter what the cost... at least he's true to himself, i guess , his best bet is to start his OWN team and show them factory kids how to do it next year when RV is in the 450 class....

He would still make money if that's what he cares about. If he wants to win though, I think it is clear that his results are based off of having good people in his corner. He was racing the best of his career when he had Ryno busting his ass.

Who cares? The guy should have been walking a thin line after the rental car incident. I think he thought that #1 plate carried a little more weight than it did. I hope he gets fined for 1 year. That is the ONLY way he MIGHT learn a lesson.

You know, starting your own team does you no good when the sanctioning body does not allow you to race...

I think you are the only person that actually doesn't want to see him racing. I think that most of us just agree he is a dumbass but still wish he was out there.
