Anybody know where I can buy retro YZ yellow or any yellow colored plastic fenders, tank, etc for a 2010-2012 Yamaha YZF450? I've checked the usual companies and all they have available are blue, white, and black.

I missed out on the One Industries Yamaha Hurricane Graphics Kit and this got me thinking about building my own.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Thanks guys. That sucks though.

My favorite works bike has always been the 1983 Yamaha 0W250.

I figured if I could find yellow fenders, tank, etc this would be awesome. I knew the white shrouds and side plates was going to be the easy part. It would make for one awesome looking YZF450.

Yeah, all I see is the usual blue, black, and white.

The upper and lower radiator shrouds and side panels in white helps, but no yellow fenders, tank, etc. At least not for a YZF450.

Why bother with the tank? It is black and mostly hidden by the shrouds.

Polisport makes the 2009 style front fender in yellow. If it is not an exact bolt on it can't be much effort to adapt it.

Go black or white on the shrouds, rear fender, and side panels and use the graphics to incorporate the yellow into the design. I think you could make a good looking bumblebee with what is available.

It's just not enough yellow parts for me to fool with.

I'm not a fan of black bikes, at least not for spending my money. If I could find both fenders in yellow it would change everything.

You're right on the tank though. I certainly would not need one.

Thanks for the help either way. Much apprecciated.

I loved the retro look of DV and Reed's yamahas at Dilla. Very cool. They even changed the tank stickers on Reed's bike after practice just to give it that new look for moto 1.

Holy crap! Just love it how people spend cash on their bikes! Yamaha doesn't build modern looking yellow smokers? Well, my wallet say they do! Smile

Keep an eye on eBay. You can get an e-mail sent to you whenever a certain item matches what you put in the search bar; like 'yellow yz450 plastic'. I just saw two sets last month. I think they went for about $250. I scooped up some plastic and graphics for the YZ125 and 250 smokers because I know I'll want them in the future.

And you're correct......YZ's should be yeller

You can get yellow plastics for the older style YZ250/450 (which used the same plastic) because the bikes came that way from Yamaha.

There is no yellow plastic yet for the new style Yamahas.

Do you have any friends in France? You can buy this package directly from Yamaha.

Flashbacks. When I first made the move to 80's way back when it was on a Yellow YZ80 with the radiator behind the number plate. I thought it was such a mean looking bike. Alas not long after they made the move to white/red. Those throwback colors in the pics shown so far look great!

If you want I can help, example I call them on your behalf. However I do not think it is interesting for you, it is better you find a deal in a shop or call Acerbis UFO etc in the US: here in France a plastic kit for the 10-13 is quite expensive (I have got a few white blue etc, about 180E, some good deals from 130-140), the 14 kit is much cheaper (from 105). If you add on top of that the delivery to the US + the taxes, it almost doubles the amount, so about 150E x 2 = 300E, so ... $400 for 1 plastic kit ... The best is to call directly Acerbis or UFO Smile

This is what I did to mine because I could not find yellow plastic. But you might have some luck, as Cycra is making a front fender, front number plate, and fork guards in yellow. The rear fender in yellow is for the 14 model though.

Stunning machine! Is that a '13? And also are those cycra shrouds and tank covers? They look aftermarket
