Do you think RV winning the 2012 title this early will put people off attending the final rounds?
If you were planning on attending an upcoming SX, are you now having second thoughts?

no way..... SX/MX is a way of life......people have been waiting for these races to come to their hometowns and the hardcores already have their tickets(Vegas is SOLD OUT). i dont think it will effect attendance at all. i would actually want to go even more because RV2 may put it on relax mode til outdoors and it might make some good battles in the remaining races. think about the season that MC won every race but St Louis(Emig), no attendance problems there.

I'd still go for sure if I was planning on attending.

I love to watch RACING! Kevin and Stewy's battle in the heat was awesome, and there are still great races within the race to watch.

The battle for second to fifth in the series could be fun.

Honetly, was thinking of going to SLC. I live in Sothern Calif. I am reconsidering not so much because of Villopoto winning but more because everyone else is injured and out. With Windham and Stewart now possibly out. SLC had a good chance of being a mudder and if Windham is out I am probably not going to make it.

Most "fans" will go regardless of who is on the line, but only the "core" fans will stay home because a champion is already decided

All the cities left on the schedule only have one big race each year. I guess that the attendance will still be good.

If the last few rounds were in Cali like the start of the schedule I could definitely see less people coming out. The rest of the country pretty much only get one shot a year to see SX close to home.

The Washington crowd has Washougal also but I bet Seattle still will be good if the weather cooperates.

Most people that go to the supercross dont know who RV is much less that those guys are racing for a championship. I'd like to see a poll at some of the races other than in Cali of who actually races amatuer or has ever raced( not just riding around in fields). The guys that I work with are going to take there kids because they saw a commercial on TV with the Deep Voice and motorcycles jumping and crashing. Then their kids beg them to take them, same as the monster jams. I love MX/SX and have since I was a youngster but it ain't stick and ball to the rest of the citizens.

Steve,
I'd be over in an instant if it wasn't so damm expensive to fly to US. I wasn't suggesting people should stay away, just trying to gauge the feelings of the moto crowd to a championship wrapped up early.

Agreed. I'll be going to New Orleans still because it's the closest to home.

Hopefully not, but if they offered an additional 50k for whoever got 2nd in the championship it might make
things interesting.

Not that it had anything to do with Houston, but I would call the crowd there not that great.
