They may as well not have any more of the races this season and just give every win and the title to RV. Shoot, while they're at it, they may as well give him a 24-0 label and the outdoor title now too. No sense in running those races since the experts in here are so sure that he's gonna win EVERYTHING.

RV could roll every lap of the remaining main events and still win the title Wink
But not the heat races..

Am I the only pumped on the mystery that now surrounds the podium? I mean, yeah, the top guys arent there, but its cool to see who is gonna fill in the second and third spots.

Sorry, but when I see guys on the podium who wouldn't normally be there, I'm not all that jazzed - even when they're guys I like a lot, like KDub. I'd be REALLY pumped to see Kevin take it to Stewart, Dungey, Canard and Reed and get up there, but beating out Millsaps for third isn't quite the same feeling to me.

RV IS that bad.........but we just happen to have a huge amount of talent in the 450 class , and I don't think anyone can go 24-0 now days.

And BP......who do you think may give RV a run for an out door title? I see RD as being one guy but I can't think of anyone else who may actually fight all the way to the end. Stewart?........We don't even know if he will do the out doors this year. But if he does , I just don't see him as a threat out doors.

Fwiw.......I never really considered RV as an indoor rider , but he's winning the title again this year. Outdoors......he is an even more dangerous opponent. I think the outdoors is where he even feels more comfortable. AND ( dare I say )......if he keeps this momentum going for another couple years.....he's going to resemble another former red headed wonder in a lot of ways.

Like him or not.......the dude is pretty friggin' dominant right now.

Is this the earliest someone has won title in the series? When McGrath won 15 out of 16 races I don't think he won it with 3 races to go cause Ward/Emig were 2nd a lot of the time. This might be a good mid-week article for pulpmx or racerx to do.
Jeremy won the title in 1996 at round 12 in Pontiac with three races to go. He finished the season 132 points ahead of second place.

RV is currently 79-points in the lead, but his only real competition is Millsaps who is 102 points down.

In 1999, Jeremy finished the series with an 83-point margin.
In 2001, Carmichael won by 64-points (and won 14/16 races).
In 2010 Ryan Dungey won by 70-points (as a rookie).

With 5-rounds to go, RV can break the record for the earliest title clinch (4-rounds remaining).
