Roczen is sick every week. Does he have a permanent health issue? I'm 46 and have been sick 2 times in my entire life. I think it's nerves. Maybe not ready for the US yet.

Reed was "sick" all the time when he was partying. Not saying he's doing that but on the Pulpmx show they did say he was having problems off the track. This is pure speculation.

Nerves + stress + pressure. Matthes did hint on a podcast that he had some other personal stuff going on that would screw with a teenagers head but didn't go into it.

i mean, must take some getting used aswell... he's gone from MX phenomenon, winning most races and having his competition covered... to being a top 5 guy! And although he is still obviously very high profile, the spot lights not on him so much as it was last year when it was all new and exciting and the expectations were lower. Hope he gets through SX unscathed (confidence included), he should really come alive in the Nats.

wow. sorry for being real. im not hating. apparently you guys didnt read everything i wrote. i said im sure hes a good rider, but sx can make a good rider look bad. and that he will probably have a much better time trying nats, as sx tracks arent readily available to everyone.
but............... if im going to get hated on for potentially hating, i might as well make it worth it and say that being 12 seconds off the pace in group c practice is never going to cut it... ever. but i applaud the effort. wish i could be trying it.

It's hard to tell how someone was really going to do based off one 8 minute free practice and a few laps during qualifying Capitalization makes your shit hard to read.

That fact remains, if someone is that far off the pace they need to send them home to work on their game and come back another time. Race day is not the time to learn Supercross.

Maybe the weekend and weekout flights and constant race schedule have taken a toll on him. With a constant schedule its pretty easy to get sick. Riders sign autographs and shake hands with hundreds of potentially sickly people as well.

I wouldn't think this would effect Roczen very much, but racing the GP's and different european championships over a more spread out schedule could play a part in it. As for being ready for the US, there is no doubt he is ready and every bit the Championship contender in the lites class.

sx isnt for everyone.
Ya maybe Reed, Stewart, Dungey, Short, and everyone else that has crashed in sx should quit..

how would you have any idea who i know or who ive seen ride? ive rode with some of the guys that are in these group c practices. ive also rode a sx track before. i doubled through everything and felt like a hero. including the whoops. did i run and sign up for sx? no, i knew better. ive also seen guys that have made mains training with guys that have yet to make a night show... major difference when your talking about 50 sec. lap times. 12 seconds a lap adds up REAL quick.
apparently youve never seen the group c sx practice session. shits scary to watch.

At what point do you go SX is just not for me...supercross needs a 107% rule ASAP

He actually commented a week or so ago that maybe he should go back to eating In and Out and drinking soda, since what he is doing now doesnt seem to be working. he has made so many changes, entire lifestyle and all the travel is prob just taking awhile to adapt to. Go listen to Chad on DMXS talk about racing in the US compared to the GP's. Gonna take him time to adjust.

so its ok to talk down on one person but not the other.
