Very cool. That's a good deal for both parties. Reed gets a rider that can be competitive outdoors, prob without spending all that much, and Townley gets to ride one of the best bikes in the best outdoor series in the world!

Leaves me wondering however what kind of compensation Bens Carlton dry Honda team got. The team brings on sponsers in part due to having such a name rider and then he leaves to compete in another series.

Maybe Reed "lets" Townley bring some sponsers over? Maybe they become Team 22 sponsers for the out of doors?

I see Ben placing right behind RV and Dunge, and at times beating them...perhaps

I was parked next to and watching townly up close out of the test van couple years ago at Pala and that dude lays it down, hes the real deal and when u push the limits shit happens. I for one would love to see a wise BT101 lay it down with a solid crew behind him....this is that chance. Im calling top 5 for the series now - stamp it.

Townley reminds me a little of Garry McCoy. All kinds of speed and skill but doesn't mind going back home for a while until getting called up to the big show again. I hope he stays healthy.

The number of people on Vital who know who Gary McCoy is could probably be counted on the fingers of one hand ( maybe two, but def' no toes!!!).

But you're right - and tough, like Gary. Saw Gary spill off his 500 at Donington GP down Craner Curves and I thought for sure he was dead, but two min's later he walks off as if nothing happened. Yep, tough.
