The guys at HollyEquipment in Japan (fine purveyors of repopped or rare antiquities) have been doing a Mugen 360 project I've been tracking. Latest entries have been the mock up for a pipe.

Joe,

You forgot the grinding of the weld inside the pipe for perfect resonance!

I spoke with a guy that did a pipe like that & he told me that it took about 70 hrs to build it!

My question is, is he building that as a cone pipe replica of a standard issue Mugen pipe? Looks awfully skinny for an open classer. Fatten that baby up and make that thing run like it should. Dyno tests showed the 360 kitted 250 engine only made 34 HP. Seems like that setup should be capable of an easy 45 with a good pipe, carb and ignition.

You'd cry if you saw the stuff layin around Big D's & Dr. George's office.

It's kinda like art meets fine jewelry.

Joe, I saw your new bikes...But for me ( yamaha fan ) I'll never trade an OW for these Hondas :-))))
I'm just working on a simple 1983 YZ 125 ( OW Ron Lechien 224 look...) , as in France and even in Europe, the pre-83 125 serie is growing and my 1981 YZ is missing hp and suspension......

Hey Christophe, are you the guy that made the LOP jerseys for me about a year ago? Funny story. I never even noticed it. I posted a picture of one of them on a web site. It only took about an hour for some guy to reply that the Jersey said Waukegan Hill not Waukegan IL. LOL. Man I felt like a moron. Anyone else ever notice or were these done one at a time? and yeah my wife just looked at me and laughed. BTW my fault because I didn't notice it for over a year.

No joke. Marty was cool, and nice to my kids at the Yamaha Race of Champions / Vintage Iron World Championships at Glen Helen back in 2002. He was scheduled to ride the YROC race but back pain issues kept him on the sidelines. Goat Breker, fresh off a 24 hour race with hands that looked like pepperoni pizza filled in for him. Glover was there too, and kicking ass. But there Marty was on the side of the track with a pit board that read , "Let Goat Bye". Good times.

You might try using duct tape, if you plan on that thing lasting a full moto.Tongue

Seriously though, that exhaust takes some gnarly skills to produce. Very sweet!

Yeah it was you, I'll never forget that sweet looking YZ and I think you had just done a Gilera(SP)
I was the guy building the LOP RM 125 and we spoke about your friend building a pipe for it. You did the Star jersey which was perfect and the sponsor jersey which had HILL instead of IL.
BTW Christophe is an artist and I'd recommend anyone looking for an old school jersey look him up. The two he did for me were awesome, just the one hickup. Truth is I was so busy drooling over how they looked I never noticed the misspell. You'd think since I live in Illinois I would have picked it up LOL

Nice Total Recall...thanks for that.

We had a Ride Day a few years back in his honor out at Cahuilla...it was a Perfect Day and it was totally "Marty"...

He had a pretty huge impact on a lot of people and a ton of friends.

and I'll make you another one to replace the wrong version.
Of course, the LOP shirt and shipping are FREE...
