Sandbagging? Oh boy.... Maybe he wasn't offered any rides for SX and knows he can make decent racing money in AX.. but ya... he's sandbagging...

Maybe I couldnt get decent positions in the Pro class, and I know I can get decent TROPHIES in the novice class... yeah, SAND BAGGING. He beats these guys like nothing its a joke. Not to mention hes a very dirty rider.

You can make a good living racing AX which is a PRO series, or you can struggle to get a ride in SX/MX, what do you do? I'm not sure how anyone can get upset about a rider making a living on an MX bike.

And he has a great ride for AX ,plus some nice bonus money from Kawasaki. Good for him!

It'd be cherry picking, not sand bagging, if that's what he were doing. Can't really judge a rider for what/where he's racing until you've walked a mile in his shoes and I doubt you've done that.

I'm sure you'd consider Buddy Antunez a sandbagger too since he dominated AX from 97 to 01. You my friend are a......I'll leave it to everyone else to flame you.

Dude must think ax is easy. ?!

He is good at it and it pays the bills..
You should help get him a good sx ride that pays I'm sure he would take it..
He was top 5 last time he rode the lites class was only 16 . He is now only 20.

Sipes is 26 but it's ok for him to ride lites class.
Bowers could have 6 more ax titles by then !

As far as I'm concerned it is absolutely 100% impossible to sandbag a "pro" series. So this thread is a fail.

At least someone gets it.

I'd guess we'll see Tyler at some SX events after the AX season is over.

Clearly you are a mental giant using that as a comeback.

One question;
Who was it that you are friends with that Tyler knocked down on the track?

I am glad he mentioned it. I have been waiting years to come out about my disdain that no one stood up and did something about Jeremy McGrath sandbagging the supercross series... dont even get me started on RC!!!

Something to keep in mind is that Supercross is a totally different animal than Ax. Some of the best AX riders cant make mains in SX, and not for a lack of trying. I tend to keep my eye on the crossover riders (ax-sx and back) and I continue to see this theory proved correct. Bowers was in several sx races last year, and was in the lower half of the qualifying pack, and if i remember correctly, finished in the teens. It was well said that Bowers is making 100k in ax, but crossing over may only make 20k, if he's lucky enough to finish near ten or so. Flame on.

Bowers is awesome at AX and I'm glad to he is there as it makes the racing better. Babbitts is a great team and I wouldn't leave either if I had that ride. Not to mention he gets close to Miss Arenacross every weekend Wink . A lot of the AX guys have major skills and would be cool to see in SX just to see how they transition.

And to clarify I am not hating on Bowers at all. I am a fan, it was just a point to be made to the OP.
