My trip to "The Early Years of Motocross" museum

Thanks, I got to go once, a few years back, looks like a few things have been added. Great selection of photos.

Interesting that allot of the vintage motocross bikes MXA features look like they come from this collection. There is allot of history there.

You can see where MXA gets their vintage bike pictures from. Went about 5 years ago and if you ever have the opportunity to go, do it. The history of the sport lives there.

Tom's museum is amazing, and he knows a little bit (and usually a lot) about every single piece in there. And while the bikes are incredible, the little things -- jerseys, race posters, trophies, stickers, riding gear -- add up to one extraordinary collection. If you ever get the chance, GO!

If people are really interested in going, they usually post the Bikes and Burgers events on MXA's website. If I remember correctly, he does two a year. Tickets don't last so the only way to find out is to be at the riders meeting of REM races at Glen Helen or troll the website and act fast. He doesn't charge but asks for a minimum $20 per ticket donation to the High Hopes charity. They are a brain injury rehabilitation facility in SoCal. Tom should be commended for giving back both to the sport and to the charity. He's a good guy and one of the best track announcers and MC's around.

Several years ago I drove down from Oregon for Bikes and Burgers......It was an awesome experience. Tom is very generous with his time and his museum
