BTW, Eric Gorr has obviously garnered great respect from the community and he gives free advice all the time, including porting specs. He also charges less to mill a head or bore a cylinder than you do for your mystery mod. Respect is earned and you haven't paid the dues that are required to get any. That last post certainly won't help.
Nope, his workers that grind. If you think Mitch ports your CR cylinder when you send it too him. Never mind. LMFAO.

You reaping what you sowing on here, mate. You may be the coolest person one-on-one, and know more than Mitch building a motor, but people can only go by the attitude you roll with here, and it needs a check. If people are assholes to you here, it's only a return on your investment.

You are correct, and I accept that too some degree. But I'm not just speaking about how they treat me. This forum, look around a bit. It's loaded with jackasses. If you think I'm the only one that feels this way, ask DC how he feels about people here. Has he ever posted a bad thing about someone here?
I agree. Way too often too many people here are going at each other when in all likelihood we'd be enjoying a beer and benchracing. I have no idea what it takes to dial it down other than to not have every different opinion be a cause for full contact king-of-the-hill throw downs.

Tha'ts interesting. So thousands of people have spent hundreds of dollars on carbs, porting, and intakes etc. And the person who finally comes up with the fix to the problem, is suppose to just give his away? You my friend are a true asshole. Hope you cure cancer, because we will just expect you to give it way. As far as testing if my mod works. I'm pretty sure who you spoke too, and of course, now you know it works. So F you and the other person. Hey, ever have a 2 stroke cylinder ported from Pro Circuit? Guess how many grinds they make on a 1996 CR250? Takes them less time to grind that, than my mod. I do much more work on that intake then they do on most 2 stroke cylinders. So again, F you.

If you didn't give a ratz ass you wouldn't keep posting. Please tell me what's wrong with my sentence? Go back to 8th grade English.

Apparently, you completely missed the point.

If your carb boot mod is really a good mod, posting it up with a description would be an investment in yourself if it is successful. People would see interest in it and those that aren't comfortable cutting on stuff themselves would be sending their parts to you. It would give you credibility as someone with skills and help you build future business as a real performance shop. As it is, the only thing you are accomplishing is digging yourself a huge hole.

With your bad attitude and lack of reputation for building engines, anyone would be a fool to send their stuff to you.

Seriously, you aren't getting it. I was trying to help you out. But no, I'm not giving it away. I DO NOT WANT TO WORK ON MOTORCYCLES ANYMORE. Jeesh, I did it as a past time thing. I don't want other peoples intakes. I am not trying to make a name for myself. You are confused. I did not make any money off of motorcycles. I just did it, because it was my passion.

You want to work on my bike for a fee, but you "DO NOT WANT TO WORK ON MOTORCYCLES ANYMORE".

Yes, I am definitely confused by that.

miedosoracing1,
Hey is your mod for the 2002-2004 cr250 only or does it help the 2005-2007? Mine is an '05 with pc exhaust but the thing that really woke it up was 50/50 race gas and the vforce3 reed block. It works really really well unless you are just trail riding, then it will load up.
I have ridden lots of bikes and those 05-07 hondas really were fantastic bikes. I have ridden an '05 YZ 250 quite a bit and I would really take the honda any day. The YZ was very broad on low end yes but very flat on top. If you ride a cr the way you should, with a little more rpm and a dab at the clutch it is a great bike.

Every PENNY I've made from the industry, I put back into the industry, and then some. The ONLY thing I've gotten from the industry is a bunch of dickwads posting shit on forums like this. I'm retiring from working, via sold my insurance agency. The motocross stuff was just as you say, for the industry. So yes, the stuff I do, pretty much has ended already. But why, seriously, after reading stuff like CamP etc wrote, would I GIVE anything to this community. A bunch of assholes. The friends I've met in the industry, sure I help them out. Ask ROCk about that. I'm flying him on my own dime, just because he's my buddy. Nothing more. I dont get anything, I don't expect anything from him. I'm giving him a place to stay and rides too and from the race etc. So don't think for a minute, I haven't GIVEN to the mx community. Michael Heingartner, I ported his RM for free. I bought an intake for one of the pro's down here in Dallas, and did my mod, sent him other stuff, all for free. No promotion, nothing. I did it for the "community." Plus DPW, you know me, so still not sure what I've ever done too you? Kind of a back stabber it seems.
could you highlight the back stabber part? I was just asking a question....

Before I send my stuff to a tuner whether it be suspension or otherwise the typical question you discuss with the tuner is "what are you going to do?" Usually the response is a high level explanation of the work and more detail if needed/required...not "send your stuff and $$$ I'll make it good, it's a secret"

If I was retiring at your age I'd be happy and ignore the peanut gallery here at Vital

just my ..02 any more pics of Shorty's bike?

Not trying to derail the bitch fest but what is the last "great" year of the CR250r motor? 2002? Looking for a motor to put in a 2005 crf450 frame and ditch the thumper.

The 2001 engine gets the most accolades, but a modified '05 was the fastest 250 that I've ever ridden, so I know the 05-07 engines have a lot of untapped potential.
