so the guy still owns the track, but it's just sitting? That sucks for everyone who used to get to ride it,

I was pumped that Oakley made that track, because Oakley sponosrs our team, but the city shut that down before it started, lol.

hahahaha seriously! i would love to see a track here in oc....i hate driving to everywhere also....especially with gas.IT SUCKS! these people out here in the oc are just stubborn,selfish rich people..they are LAME...ughhhhhhhh.....are they still building that track in corona? 3 palms or something???

FYI, speaking to former Irvine Co. lead council at Latham and Watkins as well as CEO of unnamed Hotel Co(worlds largest) for help on OC MX track next week. Hotel guy has his own track back east and has many hotels in OC including Tustin. Well see how it goes.

hey gonzo100 why do you have to come on here and say rember the hill like everyone use to ride there. and then when people want to know where it is you say i dont think i should tell you. why we are all riders here if i knew of a spot in the oc i would post it in a second.and even if it is all messed up how much work could it take to fix it up with some help from everybody.who here is not willing to do a little work for a place to ride.and to those people who are not willing to help then just goto the mall.and if the road is messed up that means that no one live up there and we would be left alone.well if anyone knows how to get to the hill please email me @ jasonstopher@yahoo.com. im willing to take the risk to go up there and clean it up and ride there.and if i get cought i will never name names that is bs.

I grew up near Portola Hills and remember a private supercross track up there. Used to ride my skateboard and watch from the hill. I want to say this was in the late 80's.

Noooooo, I know about Ascot "back in the day" had a bunch of buddies who used to race there. The track I'm referring to was a new proposal that was supposed to be a "done deal" I even saw the plans online seems it went away just like the revival of Saddleback does anyone know about thie track proposal im referring to?

I just discovered this thread. If anyone knows anything about any space in Wilmington that could possibly be used for a track, I would be willing to pursue this.

Our land use problems really ramped up with the four strokes(sound like a outboard motor). Anyways the alternative to
a track in the greater L.A. is simple. Get an electric dirt bike, it would be easy to rent an old warehouse. Set it up as a club.
The more people the less the cost. Quiet and neighborhood friendly. So you would break even on the bike cost after about 100
trips to the local electric dirt bike track instead of driving 80 miles one way to the inland tracks. No reason there could not be several of these around OC and LA. You would have more time to ride instead of being stuck in traffic.
Maybe a endurocross track in one place, a superx in another and a trials somewhere else. 3 types of riding to sharpen up your
skills each week.

The green cops in OC tried to site me for riding on an illegal trail last week. It really is sad when you can't pedal a bicycle out in the hills, on a dirt trail without getting grief by the rangers. They said a ticket would cost me $500...

Wilmington is not OC. Refineries, smoke, not so "upscale". I would think there may not be the same resistance as long as land could be identified that is a good location for a track. After seeing this thread, I called the City, and they were receptive to the concept of a track that would draw people to the area to buy food, gas etc. I live in Palos Verdes and would LOVE to have a track near me. I would consider investing in a track (which you could all use) if I could identify land that is available for purchase or lease, that is not prohibitively expensive perhaps near a refinery where no one would want to live or start a business, and there is no one close enough to hear the sound and object. I wish I could find out more, because I just do not know if any such land exists. If somoene can point me in the right direction, I am willing to pursue it further.
