So obviously Dungey is hauling the mail this year, thats a given. But I have noticed that he looks different on the KTM than he did on the Zuke. Not sure if he looks just bigger on the bike or elbows not up as far or what but watching him ride something just looks odd. Not saying he looks bad or uncomfortable but just "different" I guess. Anyone else see what I am seeing? Of course maybe its the IPA I have been drinking.

He doesn't look quite as loose in the air to me as last year.

His cornering doesn't look like it has suffered. His cut to the inside of short in the main was classic and unmatched Dungey brilliance.

The rear suspension looks squatted down (to me). Not saying it is a bad thing or the wrong set-up (what the fuck do I know?) just that I noticed that. At least that was what it looked like to me. He definitely looks different on the bike but I agree, that pass on Short was brilliant.

He does look a lot bigger on the bike. Friend of mine thinks it is an optical illusion because the bike is a darker color and doesnt stand out underneath him like the yellow Suz did, i told him to lay off the pipe LOL

He looks bigger on the ktm to me also. He also seems to have picked up a little bit more style now, maybe...

I would REALLY love to have one of those factory edition katoom 450... I think the steel frame would be so rider friendly IMO

Could be possible Dungey has grown a little too? He's certainly young enough to still be growing. Possibly.......

the KTM looks way smaller than the suzuki or any bike out there and it would be interesting to know if it actually is any smaller or not

Me too Johnny!! but as i am pretty sure you most likely know, i absolutely love just about anything RedBull Cool

I was so stoked when Ryan made the switch, not just from yellow to orange, but more importantly from that Rockstar garbage to "The Bull!"

You dont even want to know how many RB's i consume on Saturday race day/nights!

The KTM's have a smaller chassis than the the Japanese bikes. He looks like Shultz though.

I think Dungey is the first tall rider I've seen on the 450 ktm, maybe that's why it looks kind of like a minibike (a very fast one!) underneath him.

I'd blame it on the ugly f'n Nike boots but he wore them on the Suzuki as well.

I wonder what his style will look like when he gets on the 250SX
1/30/2012 8:23am
He'd be so much faster on a 350.

i'm trying to cleverly insert something about Short's elbow conspiracy. I'll let you know when I come up with something.

Hello and welcome Scottie! I'm Chris and also a Red Bull addict! hhaahha

I actually buy all sorts of Red Bull stuff off eBay all the time. Just recently I got a team rider sweatshirt that was one of a kind and a cheeze ball watch but it said Red Bull on the face! I've tried to get sponsored by them for skiercross but since I've only done 4 races (all of which I've won in the pro class I might add!) they denied me. So far!!! Wink

im thinking foot peg location or footpeg height is different in conjunction with bike mass

My observation...

Over all, the bike appears smaller than the Asian counterparts but, the motor itself looks to be larger, to me any ways.

Im leaning this direction also. Footpeg to seat distance seems shorter.

When hes cranked over in a turn, weighting the outside peg, his butt looks to be closer to his heal on that outside foot. Combine that with some more rear suspension squat like someone else said and maybe being taller like someone else said and you have your answer.
