Just the other day I was thinking the same thing.

Justin is a great guy who has a killer family as well

But to be honest I dont think that he was ever the same after he and Josh Grant ran over the old woman at glen helen while battling for the lead back in 04 er 05 I wanna say.

I really hope he can get back to where he was just a few short years ago

I remember taking one of his rear tires that his dad threw in the trash can at trulsons pac west back in 1999. Kid was the first realllly fast 80 rider I ever saw race.

Dunnno.......but the fact is that there are alot of really really fast riders who don't bother showing up once the support dries up.

2-3 seasons and if you dont show consistently in the top 10, the sport is gonna try out the next kid and you are welcome to buy parts fro the same folks who offered them to you for free last year.

I was standing right behind that old lady when she crossed the track. Probably one of the sickest things I have ever seen. Do you know what ever happened to her? Was she ok?

I know that the only thing that was keeping her leg attached to her foot was her Achilles tendon, and that they didnt think she was going to make it but if memory serves me correct she did survive.

I was on the line when it happened ( superminis I believe) and all of us had to back out of our gates because the race got red flagged. Josh and I were really good buddies back then and I offered him my gate, but when he pulled up he had the meat from the old womens foot hanging from his chain and his boot, it was absolutely horrific.

And for those who dont know, this is also the story of why glen helen now has gates on their in-field.

I met Justin at A! through a mutual friend. He is such a nice guy! Really cool person and very friendly. He is currently doing the Broc Hepler and living a normal mans life. Hes managing a warehouse for his father in the LA area. Still rides for fun.

My friend and I were trying to convince him to come out of retirement. Everyone knows, with a couple weeks on the bike he would come out of retirement and qualify for the 450 class.

Class act and great guy!
