To be honest... it is A LOT BETTER, a lot better than 90% of the hip hop that is commercialized. Rappers and Hip Hop artists have lost touch with what made the genre cool and fun to listen to. Nowadays, there is just a shit-ton of synth and auto-tune, and the artists just talk about all the money they have lying around on the coffee table, their big rims and having sex with chicks.

If you want some rap that is a little more stripped down, Nate Adams is doing it right.

To those who like it, you should also check out Childish Gambino.

What is it in the dorky white boy gene that makes them think just cuz they have some success in their sport that the world wants them to rap? Maybe Nate and Jereme Rogers can go on a club tour and see what the real rap/hip hop community thinks of them.
DISCLAIMER:I'm a hypocrite, because if he started a punk band(and went out and did shows, not just record something in your bathroom and put it out for your fanboys) I'd think it was OK. I fear for the future of music.

Hey, the guy put it out there for all to hear - and I have every right to not make a comment.

Then don't make a comment. Don't even type anything. Don't even click submit. All you are doing is taking up unneeded space with a nothing answer.

I bring nothing to the table on this conversation... just wanted to take up space and bump up my mediocre post count.

So, quoting you in the 'Motocorsser's say' thread regarding the Bret Michaels song, you said....

'Wow that song is lame as f**k.'

So tell me, what did that contribute to the thread?

I don't have a problem with you talking shit on some rock star, I don't like that song either, but I do have an issue with your hypocrasy.

I used to think the same thing until I realized that one of the greatest rappers of all time happened to be a white boy from a trailer park in Michigan.

I downloaded his last album months ago. I'm not a die hard Hip Hopper and neither is my wife- but we both like listening to it all the way through. I hats off him for producing something worth listening to.

If I listen to it without thinking about who it is...then it sounds like a bored rap record from the mid 90's...not horrible though...might grow on me...

but, if I listen and think this is a moto guy, then I tend to think it is ok to be mediocre...

having said that, and if nate reads this...good for you to have an art form that you are willing to share, no love lost...

Exactly, if you want to be in the music business go out and earn it. Just because anyone can record music on their computer and if you're famous for something else doesn't mean it's a good idea. Kind of like musicians and actors thinking anyone should care about their political views. If someone can show me a flyer from Nate Adams rapping somewhere I might change my view, until then.
