For those that want a non-animated track map................

there are whoops. they are at the top where it says "sand"

the part that worries me is that first turn. not only is it 90 degrees, but they ride over the top of the would-be berm, destroying it, so its 90 degrees with no berm

i just hope they put some safety barriers out there, because sooooo many dudes are going to be yardsale-status outside the first turn.

Is that the same dirt they used last year? if so I don't remember a problem with rocks. I do remember a very good race, very Villopoto friendly dirt. Cool

for all we know they might cap the whole track in something more clay-ish.

I think if that was the case, they wouldn't have put the tuff blocks out already. Not being a jerk, just noticing.

That soil appears to have been dredged from the Los Angeles River, a mere 1/2 mile from the stadium.

Nice!

I'll be there.

I don't think a berm that far from the inside line, would even be used on the start.

Am I the only one who sees a potential quad-quad? Not looking likely but could still pull a quad-triple-single...Just the way some of these guys are riding it seems like almost anythings possible. Even more impressive is the way these guys can hold things in their pocket to bust out in the mains. I was at Indy last year and saw only millsaps and tedesco try a triple triple section in practice and their heats. Then the first lap of the main the top 8 guys did it no problem...like they had been doing it all day.
