Im coming to Arlington with a buddy who's racing, we plan on getting there sometime weds.

I'm trying to find a sx track we can ride at for a day or two before the race, he really needs it as all we've been doing is rising indoors at tiny tracks, he's racing like 7 supercrosses.

Thanks

There are also a few private supercross tracks, you might want to post on txmotocross.com and ask. I bet you get a few responses from people willing to help. As mentioned above, Underground MX has a nice supercross track and always has a pretty good turnout of pro riders around supercross season.

Check out Village Creek. Haven't been there in about a year but they have a night track that is pretty SXish.

When did they add a SX track? Since it's 2012, I guess it's recent.

They definitely have the best MX track and woods riding around. A SX track would be a great add if this is true.

Haven't been since early-November but I was told then that the new track was going to be geared to "weekend warriors." The mx track is sandy and gets rough, he said then that the new track was going to be clay based and less technical.

Things change however, give him a call, great guy.

I rode there between Dallas and St Louis last year and it was great! Owner was a nice, hard-working guy.
I got applause from the pits when I tucked the front wheel and fell.

I rode Archview MX the day after STL and it is fun too.

Yep I've found myself on the ground a time or two in the sand next to the pits as well. We're f'n lucky with track quantity and quality around DFW for sure. Holler if you come down again for Dallas, I can show you the slow lines around most of the tracks here.

And Mike894 good luck on your season.

I don't think that is it. It is on 199 off of I820 past Fort Worth in Springtown,Texas. They just mowed down Houston 2012 and built Dallas. I was there 2 weeks ago and they were building it.

Thackerville is the Oklahoma town I-35MX is in. Thacker is the last name of the guy who has a son that races and enough money to build a full blown SX track in Springtown, TX. It's a personal track so you'd have to get the guy's number and just see if he'd allow you to come ride it. No I don't have his number, sorry.

For the most part Oak Hill and Underground are the two open to the public SX tracks. Oak Hill is slightly more hard packed, Underground is indeed sandy. To clarify unless something changed I-35MX in Thackerville, OK does NOT have a SX track. If they did it too would be like riding the SX version of Southwick.

you might try to get hold of Shanon Niday, I believe they have a SX track, but not sure who it is open to.

Texas Stadium in Irving is a parking lot because a new one was built in Arlington, called Cowboys Stadium now. Or Death Star, Jerry World, whatever you wanna call that 1.2 billion dollar mess.

The Springtown SX track will probably be a no-go. It's used exclusively for the TISCO team.
