Too late, I'm afraid...Rick Wright died in '09 and David Gilmour and Roger Waters don't speak, so...
actually there is talk of the remaining members reuniting for a concert for the opening or closing ceremonies of the London olympics..

Cool. I think the last time they played together was for Live Aid in '05. It wouldn't be the same without Rick Wright, though.

Only other reunion I would love to see as well is Led Zeppelin. It seemed as though it was going to happen but.

I remember an interview with Rick Wright, the keyboardist for Pink Floyd, talking about 3 chords he played at the beginning of the song "Breathe" on Dark Side of the Moon, and it went something like:

"Normally, you start with (plays cords), but how do you get back to G again? Well, you'd usually do this (plays chords), but I remembered this chord from Miles Davis' Kind of Blue, and I love that chord - so I remember working it out at home, and I kept trying different combinations, and I finally I played it like (plays three chords), and I said, 'That's it'. That's how it has to be."

3 chords out of a lifetime of music, but it had to be what it had to be, or it wasn't the music that was playing in his mind. That's how artists do their art.

And of all the riders I ever watched, I'm not sure I ever saw one that was the kind of artist that Stewart is. They're great, they're incredible - but I watch Stewart and I think he sees himself doing things before he does them, and no matter what, he has to match his riding to what he sees in his mind before he gets on the track. No matter what the risk is, he has to do it the way he sees it in his mind. I think artists would understand his riding better than most of us would.

People can say what they want, but it might be a long time before another guy like him comes along. I never really liked all the showmanship and all the hoopla, but watching the man ride a motorcycle is like going to a Pink Floyd concert. Maybe even better. It's art.
