I'm 6'2" riding a CRF450, I find it difficult to keep a correct riding position while standing due to having to bend over to hold the bars.
Some friends suggest bar risers and moving the clamps further forward.
Can anyone give me some advice on how high I should raise the bars and how far forward I should move the clamps?, I'm really struggling to get comfortable and the current setup gives me a sore lower back.

Oh, and I have applied racing top clamp with changeable clamps

Get some Renthal RC high handlebars. Im 6'4'' and run em.. They're the tallest bend i could find. I don't use spacers or anything either.

Yep I'd say Renthal RC High Bend Bars too! - If you add a bar riser kit it might turn out to be the first Orange County Choppers CRF450! :D Each to their own though and you will ride your best if you comfortable!

Pro taper Windham bend with 30mm risers works for me

+2 on the Renthal RC High bars. I'm 6'-6" and they are the best tall guy bar on the market at 119mm tall and minimal 54mm sweep. Run the bar mounts in the forward position. No risers required with the RC Highs.

+3 on RC high bend. At 6'3" I can relate. I then purchased a set of clamps from Emig racing. They were made for a Under the bar stabilizer. I then had too much height but was able to fine tune them with a bridgport. It took a few tries to get the height that I liked, with the mounts in the forward position. A good eye will see that they are quite high compaired to stock, but then I'm quite tallSmile

im 6'3" and can relate. i went to the tallest size renthals i could find. But i was then having toubles cornering as i felt like i was on a chopper. My coach told me that i was being stupid with my setup (he actually had other words to use but ill leave those out). So i went down to a Renthal twinwall 997 with no spacers and rolled the bars back just slightly to force myself to get over the bike more. It worked for me. I know it sounds backwards from what you would logically think and do but it worked amazingly for me. But thats just my $0.02

I am going to get a set of RC highs. I am 6'6 and currently running pro taper KX high bends with a RG3 clamp with risers...works good but I can ALWAYS use more room! I wish I were 6'3!

Hmm... thats some food for though kmk371. I may have to go back to testing bar mounts again. Just when you think you have it figured out, lol.
