How many of you guys give it 110% every day at work?
6/18/2008 8:31pm
I had a pretty damn good ride in 83 and 84 that I was to stupid to take full advantage of. Now I have to wake up at 4am do my office work go out to the job site to keep everything on schedule then take care of any appointments I have and I am lucky to get home most nights by 6:30 and I am making about 1/3 the money the average 450 factory rider is making.

I have lived both lives, I will take that factory ride and give up what I do any day of the week.

I will say that their lives are not easy, but they dont live in the real word. The good ones have everything planed out for them, how they train, what they eat, were they go, they dont have to worry about a thing except going fast. Pressure yes, but they are paid a lot of damn money for that pressure

Some of you act like they have the pressures of the world on their shoulders, hell they just race bikes for a living there not curing cancer.

I'm sorry...it seems that I have upset a bad ass "motocross C" rider. My deepest apologies! Keep practicing those sick one handers and you'll be up to intermediate in no time...

I bet you'd be pretty embarrassed to be beat by a "fat PIECE of shit" around the MX track...wouldn't you? (remember, I before E, except after C)

BTW...Flarider is the fat ass of the board. Try and keep up.

Forget terrorism, world hunger, road side bombs, high gas prices, child abuse, AIDS...there are much bigger issues facing us today. Like questioning some body's fitness level that rides a motorcycle!!

How dare anybody expect a professional athlete to train for, and be ready for the game he plays.

Its easy to sit here on the computer and judge a factory rider on his performance. But if you guys that are so quick to judge if its so easy get of your ass and i challenge you to go to your local track and put in a thirty minute moto. and when your done doing that remeber that any factory rider would have lapped you about five times and maybe parked you a couple more. bottom line its easier to sit here and judge but not to go do it your self

It would be easier if I only had 30 work days a year.

I'm usually good for about 20%. Thinking of going to an after lunch only contract next season.

So you consider the only work days a rider has the ones he races?

Agreed . I may have read something about Carmichael or Villopoto saying something that the week is their work, and the weekend is the work paying off. So it normally isn't working while at a race track. It's like saying, im going to race this weekend and hopefully train a bit when i am racing around the track. That is the total opposite of what should be going on. Racing is a break from all the work you've put in during the week days...Just my two cents..I may have a lead on something..

milsaps is a pretty damn good rider, top 20 in the world. he had a falling out with his mom it appears and he may be having issues relating to that. how many of you would fully function with a falling out with yer mom or dad?

Davi could be pushing it and should be a threat to win at both SX and MX ... seems he just wants to ride for a paycheck .... not bashing the guy but he is capable of so much more than he has shown.
