I'm not really a JS fan but just wait until they get on a real track. That was the worst track ever. Sure everyone has to ride the same track but there was nothing technical about it. As soon as they get on a real track these pointless threads will disappear

I couldn't believe how bad everyone was booing him! Opening ceremonies was crazy. Then every time his name was mentioned you'd hear the boos. Felt for the guy, almost. Guess thats what happens when you treat the fans like morons over the years.

Yeah, that really bothered me... but, at the same time, I heard people booing Reed and RV as well...

All the people around me were mostly cheering for "Bubba", I think it was a mix of crazy cheering and booing... I don't know.. people are freaking stupid sometimes.

Wow that is sad to hear. I felt bad for him due to his race, but the booing takes the cake. James seems like a good person - he doesn't deserve that.

Damn, that's funny. I like the longer lap times but I also thought the track left a lot to be desired. Maybe next week.

He's still blazing fast, probably faster than Reed or Dungey, but he has met his pure-speed match in Villo. And Canard can go that speed, too. So it might come down to race-craft, and in that area, James hasn't really been The Guy.
Actually, Dungey posted a faster fast lap in the main than Stewart did.

MX is like golf. Good laps are as much of your time as bad laps. And typically at the top level it's the bad laps that make a bigger difference than the good ones.

I was definitely stoked for RV. That desperate frustrated look on Bubba's face was kind of sad though. That dude puts so much pressure on himself. James has to have more than he showed last night, if not RV is going to make this a boring season. I laugh when some of you asses call me a hater. I call it like I see it, good or bad.

Poor start...not overly aggressive and content with a 4th place finish...sees a possibilty late in the race to finish 2nd and turns up the wick....crashes.....finishes 6th. Not a great day but all things considered not the worse either. He's still the man to beat on Saturdays.
Still the man to beat? Maybe in qualifying, not 20 laps.

Consistently good starts are very important too.
Maybe JS7 needs to spend more time practicing his starting skills and less on his one handed whip skills.

Most of the folks I saw boo-ing were drunk, even at the opening ceremonies. Besides the 2 fights near section 127, we had fans cheering for their favorite rider everytime they came by. There was noticeably several groups cheering Reed every lap...that was cool.

If you want to know who really struggled with their bike, look for any footage of Josh Grant. That Kawi just would settle down and couldn't turn at all.

All t his talk about PHX would would be fine if RV won the main by 4-5 seconds. but, he didnt. he won by 20, and I dont think any change in track design will account for that margin.

I am not an RV fan at all, but GOD DAMN, it was not even close. I felt like I was watching Atlanta, 1996. or any race from 96 other than St. Louis. I was over as soon as the gate dropped.

Yeah, I heard people booing other guys, but they were in the minority. Where as for Stewie, the boos seemed to be the majority. Was waiting for guys to start throwing rotten vegetables from the stands. hah. Wonder if that could effect his mojo at all going into the night?
