Whos got some? I was in college and disconnected completely from moto for about 5 yrs, from 87-91. I can't believe there was a USGP at the OHV park OCScottie and I grew up riding and I missed it. fuk I'd love to see some old photos from that race if anyone has some.

The only pics I have are the memories of being there.
Would be nice to see some pics for old time sake.
FTE is an awesome photographer and might have attended.

Sorry, went to one in the mid 80's, loved the track even for the summer, but was out of cameras at the time and was just a spectator. Huge downhill, great racing, difficult access as I remember. The Eric Geboers won.

I too enjoyed racing on that track, access was problematic for sure.

Wish I did. Never replaced my cam equipment after it got stolen from E st '84.

Loaned my KX500 to Jan Houtermans for GP rider Jo Martens the last one in '89. Really nice guy like the rest of Euro contingent were.

A lot of memories at that track. Wasnt around when the USGP went down but my dad was. That is by far my most favorite track in the NorCal area. The GFI series ran races there all the time and I couldn't wait to get to the track friday night just to wake up early for saturday practice. They ran the big up hill and down hill one year in Int and Pro practice and it was gnarly. They opted to no run it during the race due to it being so sketched out but man was it fun.

Back in '86 at the Pro-Qualifier...who was that bad-ass on a CR500 that made into 6th in the Qualifier ...from a 2nd gate ...in Open-Intermediate?

Actually got protested by some Pro's, too...

Whinny-assed-bitches!

I roosted on Brad Lackey at Hollister. He was on his factory open class Honda. True story.

I remember that day, wasn't Billy Grossi there also?
That track was pure moto, mornings could be sketchy with the dew on the grass going down steep hills into steep off camber corners.

Minus the back section of the track. Of course the back section is where the actual "Hills" are.

I have a vid of the entire moto from when i raced my Pilot there back in the mid 90's, it was the full on classic layout (w/o the back hill section of course) That was one of the best days of my life, to come back and race on my home track after my accident, and fully dominate!! Cool

...and i still have to dig up the Motoworld clips from the USGP.

Great photos and vid clips, thanks! I've seen bigger crowds at the track for some amateur events and even National Hare Scrambles!! The track does look the same for the most part today. Scottie - I never get tired of looking at photos of you rippin on your KX80 or your Pilot, you always had the sickest style!!

Didn't ricky ryan do well at the USGP?

Merry Xmas
