i was thinking probably having round tires the whole race but then i was like.....wow that can get expensive! so i guess i would go with the cheapest thing, properly inflated tires?

suspension set up for weight/ability/terrain by a reputable suspension specialist will trump any "go fast" part ever conceived.

or

cocaine, oxycottons, not training, and a skanky girl from riverside california are good enough for about 12th at a pro outdoor national.

just depends what your goals are really.

Lose weight and get in good shape. The only hop-up parts that never brake and are available anywhere.

Not sure if this is a legit question or just fishing but I'll take it at face value. Not really cheap but the best bang for the buck is an aftermarket exhaust. Not only more power but you can customize the power to where you want it...down low, up top, or somewhere in the middle. Suspension mods are definately gold but again not "cheap". A zero cost and effective handling mod is how high or low you run your forks in the clamps and how far forward or back you run the rear axle....high speed stability or cornering prowess. Those two things can dramatically change the handling characteristics of yer bike for NO money. Ergonomics can also equal speed. Bars and pegs that match yer build and riding style are a huge bonus and not that expensive. I guess I have overlooked the most inexpensive and effective "go fast" mods....a complete lack of self preservation and bollocks the size of grapefruits.
