This year`s 85cc World champion Latvian rider Pauls Jonass (14) just signed 5 year deal with a factory KTM team. His main focus for season of 2012 will be 125 cc European championship and ADAC Mx Masters in Germany. He`s expected to move to GP MX2 class in three years. This is something new for a factory KTM to sign a rider in such a young age. This is a huge deal for Latvia and Latvian motocross in general. Wish him luck and good success.

Gotta love it when the kids you watch growing up and racing make a leap like that.
Anstie had a contract with Kawasaki... He didn't had a contract with Jan De Groot Kawasaki or Molson Kawasaki. Herlings had a contract with Suzuki... He didn't had a contract with Geboers Suzuki. Same with Ken Roczen.
This kid signs wright away a factory contract thats a big deal! This isn't a deal with KTM this is a deal with "Red Bull Teka Factory KTM" if I read it correctly.
I think this is a unique thing in European Motocross because normally they sign young riders with there brand and now they do with there team!
Pit Row
But it seems like they did the same for Herlings
But IT DOESN'T MAKE A DIFFERENCE! If KTM sees something in this kid and they sign him he will be very good!!
Awesome to see a young mans dream come true. Kinda funny just last week my mom pulled out a bunch of my schoolwork from when i was a young kid like 6-7yrs old, as most kids were writing life goals of being a fireman or policeman, all my schoolwork said when i grow up i want to be a pro MX'er.
