No 2 stroke smell Sad but it is an interesting design. Would be cool to see if they could make it work in smaller engines than that one.

Direct Injection is going to be the "next" big thing in Motorcycles. Just look at the newest Cars. BMW and Mercedes have taken their already proven Engines and added Direct Injection to not only increase effieciency, but power output as well. You're able to run higher compression to increase performance but also control the fuel delivery to increase efficiency.

sled and watercraft are the only markets bombardier have them now. wouldnt put it past them to make a can-am motorcycle.i used to hate working on their products but since 04 it seems like a completely different company that started with the fuel injected 4 strokes and continued onto the atv and sled lines. added bonus is the management systems are all compatible with the same diagnostic tool.

it's not that the design is complicated it's just that Honda doesn't own the rights and if they did they couldn't keep using their BULLSHIT line that no 2-strokes will pass emmission standards.

Expect to see within ten years: 1. Four strokes with completely variable valve train, possibly even solenoid controlled valves that u can program your "cam profile " ala motogp. 2. Complete removal of the throttle plate( kinda scary). 3. Di two strokes with similar cc and weight as the class brethren but more efficient and slightly faster. perimeter frames and four strokes are so 90s man. Whats the next big fad ?

I know a few 85cc expert riders that had been using mechanical / direct fuel injection on their bikes. A very well known motor builder in the NW is a master at getting those things to work. Running those things in the super mini class , there wasn't anything that would run with them. I've seen those little sucker out pull a well built 125. I think they were like 112cc bike? And probably what.....50lbs less? Either way....power to weight ratio.....there wasn't much that could keep up with those two damn kids.

sure cranks out a lot of HP per cc

800cc = 164 hp
400cc = 82 hp?
