Wow! I've always liked riding Elsinore and with all the improvements the place looks great! Could this be the home of the new SoCal national!?
Withou a doubt that will be the site of the last national, nobody would've put that much money thought and time into a place like that if they didn't have intentions of hosting a national there especially at such a shit spot. I really like whats been done to the place and look forward to seeing the national there, its closer than gh for me too. Once the trees fill in you'll think you're at an east coast national and they will help subdue the wind. I just hope the effort is kept up , like so many other places that come out swinging and fall off in a few years (comp edge, pala) can't wait to ride there and watch the racing. Having ridden there many times 8 years ago, this is a night and day improvement! Sondra I was told that old quad jump by the water tower held a massive tree stump under it, did they get of it?

Oh and I agree with brad, riding in the wind in socal is HORRIBLE having been hurt many times doing it I won't do it ever again. Looks like Elsinore is going to be the next "It" riding spot in socal.

NICE! Open Monday? I need to check the place out. Not to ride, but just to swing by and take a look.

The $10 spectator fee does kinda suck if you are bring the family or whoever with you on practice days......but at the same time I do like it because it tends to keep people out that really shouldn't be there anyway.

It must be nice to have so many tracks nearby. The closest track to me is an hour and a half away. The good ones in southern ontario are 3 hours away.

S, Can you shed any light on the dirt at Elsinore. In the past, it was said that city council/BOD would not allow the LEMX operators to bring in outside dirt and they had to use only what was there given the fact that this was a lake bed and they did not want to compromise the whole ecosystem and makeup of the lake itself. Was that all BS or has that changed or been lifted? The dirt itself was the main thing holding back this place, when wet, it was a skating rink and when dry, it was like concrete. Place looks great for sure.

Saw where Sondra had posted up a while back that Marc had dug deep and found some good dirt. About the nicest thing you could say about the previous stuff was that it was "unique".
GuyB was that where you got busted up racing ??

I got broken up pretty bad at Elsinore back in the end of 06. Vet track step on step off(end of the day) to flat concrete with CRF450 on top of me. Broken humerus, broken pelvis, broken hip socket, femur in two places. One crash. I resided at Riverside county Med center for half a month and 5 surgeries. I look forward to getting back to Elsinore in January to check it out and get the Elsinore monkey off my back Smile I still loved the place even though it ended my Northwest money vet class career. Sondy your Bro is a cool guy and I love what he is doing. I met him at the Reno Super Moto a go go back in 05. I was working for all access setting up the urban cross jumps and was amazed at his skills in the loader and dozer and the creative stuff he built. My first memory of meeting MArc is this big smiley guy jumping out of a cat loader with a pair of flip flops on Smile I immediately liked him Smile

HOLY CRAP!! I just saw this thread. If plans work out and me and some buddies get to head down for the SanDiego SX in Feb......this is one of the tracks we are supposed to ride on. That place looks incredible!! Why oh why can't we have this kind of stuff up north. I need to find a job and move to Cali........that is just ridiculous ( as in heaven on earth for me! )
