And no, he didn't slap my girlfriend, but I've seen him threaten a female race official at a WORCS race before and then fist fight his mechanic in the pit area, Hoodie woulda beat his ass if Webb hadn't pulled tham apart.
OT, but i agree. Loved that video of him with his bottom lip trembling after the fight in the pits with lapaglia

I've seen vid of him on a MX track...

He'd be just fine if he wanted to... He has serious bike skills and balance...

Better than Damon Smith, I'd bet on that.

Does anyone know where Taddy learned his bike skills?

If my memory serves me right, I believe he never rode a big bike until he did his first erzberg event... which really was not that long ago. He grew up on a trials bike.

So maybe Taddy wouldn't do so well on a Sx track, same goes for putting the majority of Sx guys on a trials bike, they'd look like a beginner.

Taddy was a world class trial rider. All those guys have mad skills and learn quickly how to ride "big" bikes, see what Merriman, Salminen, Lampkin, Jarvis or Jonny Walker can do in enduro events. But doing good in SX ? I don't see it happening.

jonny rode at sheffield supercross a few weeks ago and didnt look out of place at all in the pro class- he does trials, enduro and a bit of mx (he wins local expert motocross races) - these guys have serious skills on a bike! I've always said that trials riders make good mx riders, but not the other way round. The skill/technique you need to be a top british/ world champs trials rider is way beyond what you need to be a good mx rider

Having said that, David Knight is almost unbeatable at enduro- but when he tries to race mx, he is good- but not that good compared to the pro's!!

I cant comment on taddy- but someone like jonny walker might scrape through to the night show, no way they would get anywhere near the main event in ama supercross!!! (maybe with a few months training they could)

We're on the same page, but you can't compare Sheffield to AMA SX. But i agree, trials riders, while underated, are the most skilled riders of all. I know Jonny and have seen him ride, no way he could do the night show. He's good, just not that good. He'll be one of the top guy in extreme events, though.

And no, he didn't slap my girlfriend, but I've seen him threaten a female race official at a WORCS race before and then fist fight his mechanic in the pit area, Hoodie woulda beat his ass if Webb hadn't pulled tham apart.
I agree with you. Over the last few years I have gotten very tired of Hughes and his mouth. And he comes across as a huge a-hole.

X 3.

On the Taddy deal, he'd do OK and probably qualify no problem after a bit of practice.

Not sure how he would fair at SX, but I sat behind Chuch Sun saturday night at the final round of Enduro X. I asked him how he would handle him, I suggested a broom stick in the spokes at the starting line, Chuck laughed it off and seemed to be pretty impressed with Taddy and the event as a whole.

judging from some of the morans that post here, he and Cianciacaroolio would go 1-2 in the 250 class on a 65

Saturday night was my first endurocross in Vegas and let me say WOW, it's just crazy to watch. Totally different breed of racers than regular SX.
