Billy Grossi flipped a van if front of the Kawi Brass. But he was young and fast as anyone so it was cool.
What they (Hill/Jlaw) do for the remainder of the year will be the only thing that will earn some of the respect they will need going forward.
Everyone wants to focus on them being young and making a few mistakes and pressure of living in the lime light etc.
Think about the team members that work their asses off so these guys can race motorcycles at the top level.
By acting like this hill and Jlaw have basically pissed on all the hard work these young men have put into the program.
The mechanics on a team like this really don't make that much money, they are in it for the excitement and sense of accomplishment that comes with putting together a successful season of racing.
Their value is placed largely on the results of the last program they were associated with.
I really hope they get their stuff together. This would be a crappy end to a couple of promising careers.
With the economy going in the shitter, and bike sales with it, riders had better know they are all one stupid stunt away from being unemployed, kind of like Emig.
In the next round of contract talks there are going to be some big surprises.
Even DV hinted in an interview recently that things are tightening up and there would be some cutbacks.
Look for contracts to go more performance based, and for teams to implement random drug tests and other clauses that would make it easier to dump underperforming twits.
