Since someone else brought it up... So my wife and her sister go "junking" as they call it. Goodwill, thrift stores, antique shops, and so on. I never really thought about it being cool to go, so I never asked and I was never invited. Few weeks ago wife and sister are planning on going, sister bails at the last minute. So, me trying to be a better husband, I go with the wife. Were in the dump of a second hand store, and they have a "sports" rack, basically old Little League jerseys and junk like that. I see a red jersey with a honda logo on it. Figured it was just someones old jersey. It was. Turns out it was Travis Prestons. Still had a tag in it that said "not for sale" or something like that. Jersey was 4.99 has his name and number 11 on it. I'll post a pic when I get home.

Always liked Preston, need to hunt him down and get him to sign it.

This is the pic right after preston nailed stewart when he cut back on to the track without looking? If it is, I'm pretty sure he wasn't checking if Stewy was ok. hahahaha

"And the grievances didn’t stop there; James had another protest filed against him at the end of the night, this time by Travis Preston for a separate incident that occurred near the end of the main event. While Stewart was in a heated battle with eventual race winner Chad Reed, he had an off-track excursion that sent him careening off of the finish line jump and into the side of the track following it. Stewart feverishly attempted to rejoin the race with Reed, but unfortunately for all involved, he jumped back on just in time for Travis Preston (whom he and Reed had just lapped) to smack right into the side of him on the landing of the finish line double. Nobody thought much of it, as both riders rejoined the race. James held on for third place, but when the checkered flag waved he rolled over the finish line, ditched his bike, and fell over on the infield in excruciating pain. During the incident, apparently Preston’s bike hit Stewart in the leg, and although James sucked up the pain and held on to the finish to collect the valuable third-place points, his leg was far from okay. And that’s when things got really interesting.

While Stewart laid on the ground in agony, a very pissed off Travis Preston tew his bike down and went to confront James about the incident. Preston grabbed a hold of Stewart’s helmet and said a few choice words to him before being pulled away by CMA race officials, and then went on to file a separate grievance regarding James’ “dangerous riding."

Preston: "You stupid IDIOT, you pulled right in front of me when I was in the air !!!!!!!!. I hope your %$#@! leg is broke in 10 places..!!!! WHAT THE *!!!!%$%#!@!#@%^ WERE YOU THINKING!?!?" escorted off.............

He was at Mini O's in Florida last year racing the Vet classes on a Yamaha. I don't know for sure if he will be there this year but it is worth a shot!

Not sure how stoked he would be knowing I got his jersey out of a thrift store for five bucks.. lol Plus I'm in SoCal, somewhow I don't think it's worth the drive.. haha

btw, the shirt has a tag that says "sample not for sale."

I hope you have the video of this race, Houston 2001. The last lap with Langston going down over that technical little double after waving to the crowd, and then Preston asking if he had won after getting the checkers makes it one of the races I remember most. It was both heart wrenching for Langston and awesome to see Preston's reaction.
