Brian Deegan Makes Surprise Announcement with the Unveiling of the Metal Mulisha Monster Truck to Compete at 2012 Monster Jam® Events

Wednesday, November 2, 2011 – Las Vegas – Brian “The General” Deegan, continues to break barriers in the action sports world. Metal Mulisha founder, thirteen-time X-Games medalist and action sports icon, has just added Monster Jam® monster truck driver to his title.

Earlier today at the annual SEMA show, Brian unveiled the new Metal Mulisha monster truck he will be driving during the 2012 Advance Auto Parts Monster Jam season. In true Deegan fashion, the unveiling took place in the FORD arena outside the SEMA show, after he drove donuts in his X Games Gold Medal winning Rockstar Energy Metal Mulisha Ford Fiesta around the unveiled truck!

Before getting behind the wheel of the Metal Mulisha branded black & grey camouflage monster truck for the first time, Brian spoke to the crowd stating, “I am excited to debut the Metal Mulisha monster truck in January at Monster Jam. Monster Jam events have incredible energy, and you’ll see the Metal Mulisha monster truck at stadiums and arenas across the country. I've always been intrigued by monster trucks, now I get a chance to destroy everything behind the wheel!"

‘‘Brian Deegan has created a strong action sports brand with mass appeal. We are excited to be working with Brian to bring the Metal Mulisha to the world of Monster Jam,” said Charlie Mancuso, President, Feld Motor Sports®. “Brian has a goal to make the Metal Mulisha monster truck a dominant force at Monster Jam events, and it will be exciting to see him compete against legends in the sport like Grave Digger®, Maximum Destruction®, Grinder ℠, and Mohawk Warrior ℠ among others.”

The Brian Deegan Metal Mulisha monster truck features black and grey camouflage and Metal Mulisha branding throughout. It is 10,000 lbs, 20’ in length, 12ft tall and sits on 66’’ tall tires. The Metal Mulisha monster truck will be supported with a full line of merchandise that will be sold at Monster Jam events and at retail, including the popular Metal Mulisha Hot Wheels Monster Jam die-cast toys.

Following the Metal Mulisha monster truck unveiling Brian gave ride-alongs to press and a few lucky fans in his X Games 17 Gold Medal winning Rockstar Metal Mulisha Ford Fiesta on the FORD track at SEMA.

Advance Auto Parts Monster Jam is the largest touring monster truck property in the world, entertaining over 4,000,000 fans at 350 performances in 10 countries. Monster Jam events can be seen on SPEED and CBS Sports. Stay tuned to check out Brian driving the Metal Mulisha monster truck for the first time during the 2012 Monster Jam season. Brian’s driving schedule will be announced soon at MonsterJam.com and MetalMulisha.com.

Does MM have a moto team? Seems like they should be backing some riders before monster truck. I'm sure it will be huge though and Deegan will make a few more mill.

I read a lot of bad comments about freestylers on the board, but riddle me this:
Who has most mass market recognition and biggest corporate backing in the dirt bike industry?

Brian Deegan
Travis Pastrana
Carey Hart

The Shop

Not a fan of freestyle, but good for him. He built a big dollar brand and continues to grow the brand.
Hard to fault him for being successful and it looks like he is having a blast doing it.

You are right , James Stewart is the only one who comes close.

Travis smokes them all, he has had a full on movie in theatres along with all the Nitro Circus stuff.

True. I hate the whole freestyle wanna be hardcore image, but you have to give it to the guy....he's laughing all the way to the bank. If only he knew how to spell...

I'm surprised more people don't boycott their products based on the fact that their logos are nazi related. That's the only reason my kids will never have mulisha products.

If it makes you feel better, the Nazi used in the logo does appear to be dead. Celebrating dead Nazis should not offend the politically correct sensibilities of anyone except, perhaps, a live Nazi.

I do hope everyone at Vital will take seriously the threat of Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei and the rampant Nazification of flat-billers in SoCal. I hear it's at epidemic proportions and can only get worse if it over takes the heartland children while they are mesmerized by monster trucks.

Its more the SS and the way that its copied from the nazi's that is more concerning to me. I don't want my kids wearing anything that promotes or encourages anything to do with nazi's.

Are you just saying that to start an argument or just being a smart ass? It's pretty clear they copied the SS logo and the nazi helmet. I don't know about you but I'm not going to buy anything ever that promotes mass death, especially clothing. And to answer your question, no they haven't seen star wars.

Well, take a look at this History FAIL:

That's a WWI German Helmet...so...

I guess it was a Nazi that assassinated Archduke Franz Ferdinand & started that war?

Oh, ok.

Then there's the lil' known fact that this has already been hashed out...legally...in a few places.

So, the Germans wore the helmet in WWll, also...but...what's the correlation amongst educated people?
