Funny, I just watched Southwick 01 last night when he dislocated his shoulder and still got a a ninth and fourth in moto two.

When I think of Langston I think of fighter and a champion... always rides his best under pressure!

I apologize for bringing back such an old thread but does anyone have pics of GL's 98-2000 KTM GP bikes? Or any more of his 01 AMA KTM SX125?

Thanks.

I remember seeing this ad. I rode a KTM 125 that year and had to have that gear after seeing it. I liked the contrast to the bike. Seeing this thread immediately made me think of this pic.

If it's anyone's fault it's mine. I brought it back up. But I always search for an existing thread first rather than creating a new one. Even if it is old.

Yeah, I thought the old Factory KTMs were cool. Different, almost off looking but love the contrast of the silver fender with orange. Still trying to find a good pic of his GP bike. Not much on Google.

When I think of GL I think of this gear. This is my favorite "kit" of all time.

Grant stated in an old interview with Matthes that the trickest bike he ever had was his 2000 GP championship bike. I'd never seen a pic of it so I went straight to the source and Grant replied to me with this pic. A beauty!! KTMs have been my favorite bikes since 01 but I'd never seen this one. The 2000 GP winning Champ KTM machine!

The oil stains remind me of the SR71....leaked fuel on the tarmac, but sealed up once at operating temp Grinning

That's one of my favorites, too. I shot that at Unadilla as he was heading into Gravity Cavity. They've changed the lip of the jump now, so it's more of a pre-jump into it. Guys land halfway down now, rather than near the bottom.
