I'll give you a break, the Canadian Higher Education system isn't a total scam like it is here in the US, but you're still a dildo.

I think you guys need to shut up because I really like being part of the industry. Somehow, little ol' me, who has ridden all my life, but only dreamed of actually working in the industry - well now thru Vital I kind of am.

So, let's do what's right and delete this thread before somebody important reads it.

If I was going to break it down by board participant, it would probably look something like this:

5% of posters who actually know what's up. They also generally post the least, usually only when they actually have something to say.

45% of posters are the vocal majority who are pretty sure they know what's up, and post frequently.

10% include a vocal minority who are pretty sure they know what's up, but generally post how they think things should work, rather than how they actually work.

10% have no clue whatsoever, but post like they think they do.

5% just want to stir up crap and cause trouble.

25% read, but don't post.

You have to pick and choose what you read, and who you believe. There are nuggets of good stuff scattered amid the...uh, rest of it.
This is basically "sports talk radio" for Moto. The people here are so much more overwhemlingly knowledgeable than the average rabid sports fan is of their favorite sport, that it isn't even funny. Just like Derek Jeter and Tom Coughlin ignore the papers and the talk radio shows, so should the riders ignore the Moto boards. Villo needs to realize it isn't the same people with the negative opinions regardles of what is done. As we see, some people love J-Law for the very reason others can't stand him. There's an ass for every seat.

What I'm wondering is if any riders throw rocks at GuyB when they see him at the races, ala Bradshaw and the MXA reporter.

I'd agree, because a lot here participate as well.

I guess I'm different from many here, because I don't try and find one rider to hitch my wagon to. I like watching 'em all.

See? I knew that'd be shocking to people who live and die by one rider's results.

Dude, without all the racers participating, it wouldn't be racing, it would be practice! Of course it's more fun to have a favorite, or a few faves to pull for, and bench race about. But, then if it's your job to go to races I can see you'd be a little less "pumped" about the race results...

it's much more fulfilling to be a fan of the sport itself than a fan of one particular rider. you find yourself cheering for all of them because the more people with a chance to win on the last lap of the race, the more fun it is to watch.

I'm not less pumped about the race results, I want to see good racing, just like everyone else. Good racing doesn't mean one-rider runaways...or dominance. I'd be pumped if there were 17 different winners over 17 different races in the upcoming season.

you are in too deep maybe...

For me there is still magic

The riders are like rockstars
The pyrotechnics are exciting
The Pits are HOLYGROUND
each Team truck is a church, the bikes are motorized Picasso paintings
My riding buddies plan our spring & summer around when SX / MX comes to town.

ya, I'm a fan, I have a favorite rider...

I'm not sorry and I'm not changing.

Is there any truth to the rumor going around about Villi not receiving any money at all? A technical issue with the Insurance binder that Monster took out, and the insurance company not honoring it? Someone has to know.

Jeez, isn't it a little early to be starting rumors with no substantiation?
