Robbie Marshal usually rides the 2]stroke.

Where are the Americans?? The field doesn't look that stacked like last year but the series will be great like always!!
They have great tracks (sometimes a little short but that doesn't matter). They coverage on the internet with there movies is great!

Robbie Marshall on KTM so hopefully he brings the 2 stroke. Last year he did alright on the yamaha, lets see what a modern 2 banger can do

You know what I mean ... Josh Hansen, Justin Brayton, Kevin Windham, ...

Wow. Ashkenazi still racing! What a machine! I remember watching him as a 16 year old when I was a kid!

Super X seems to be flying under the radar this year. I haven`t seen any adds, promo for it all. Was hoping it was to keep that International flavour going, building on it with the Windham, Grant, Cunnigham, McGrath, Hanson etc... I hope it does well this year. I can`t see myself getting to an event this year with schedule conflicts. Went to 3 last year, and 4 the year before. Dare say i`de make time if those U.S riders were coming over. Will watch on the TV. /2 cents.

It would be great to have Hansen back but we have Blose this year, and lets face it, he's a solid top 10 rider in the US which is about where Hansen will fit in anyways, throw in Moss, the Marmonts, Reardon, and Simmonds and thats plenty of US experience in the open class.

Personally i think this is how the series should have been run from the get go, they went too big too early trying to get multiple racers in New Zealand and not having Chad there was a massive blow last year. Now no live tv this year is another step back.

But atleast we're out of the tiny tennis court sized arenas and in the big stadiums still, i'll be getting to 3 of the rounds, if we choose not to support it then pretty soon the decision will be taken out of our hands because there will be no series at all.

I think the series will go down hill without Reed racing it anymore (not his fault as he's already had such a busy year and needs a break, but to get good crowds you need big names). Just imagine MotoGP at Phillip Island without Stoner, the crowd would be a lot less over the weekend without him there.

The races are more a heat final format, Spokes prom sx was huge, the biggest series outside AMA ever. When phil ran it he often had meetings with Americans and without,he often ran SX in country towns. I think Kev Williams is on the right track with what he is doing this year and if it doesnt rain the crowd will love it.Last years series had so many different winners,Hanson,Reed,Windham,Brayton and Jake Moss. The lites was a PJ vs Matt Moss Series.
Open will have a lot of winners this year as well. Reardon is back in form,Jake will be very fast,Marmont will be so strong,Bopping will win races,Blose could do anything, Symonds has to win oneday,Mackie could win anytime, MaKenzie won races last year just not an overall. Guys like Boyd,Waters and heaps more, the field will be so close,i cant even think of a nats race with so many close riders.

Gotta love the sponsors for #267 Miles Stanley in the juniors. I hope he gets on the box and gets to thank them because im sure you'll find they were the first sponsor for every rider on the gate.

I hope to be at Brisbane...er, I mean, Ipswich, for the finale.

Posing a Q?

Is the Aussie comp the second best sx series running?

With 3 or 4 top 20 mx/sx riders feeding into the US

and

a few who have had bad luck/not made the grade winning aussie titles

More attention should be paid to this comp!

BTW

Congrats to Casey, It was fantastic to see him win a world title and home soil race at my local track.

Good luck to California riders Austin Politelli and Travis Bright. Both should be in the top 10.

Spot on tobz, Boppo to get that first win was impressive, he has looked good for this season as well. Also be good to see Gibbsy get his first win.

I think no live TV is actually a step forward for the sport at the moment, seriously why would have you turned up to a round last year to watch at a stadium when there was a chance of rain at most rounds when you could sit at home and watch live from your lounge room or head to the local pup and watch on the big screen.

5 Rounds over 5 weeks in more regional areas that are still not to far from major cities should result in much bigger crowds, and as a bonus we still get TV coverage a week later.

Rider line up in the Pro Opens is quite deep, really a lot of riders that could win at any given round, Pro Lites also pretty stacked. Looking forward to seeing the first round this weekend, hopefully the weather holds out!...

And yep plenty of Amercians over here racing this year, not so much in the way of big names but still plenty coming over, good warm up for A1
