I'm just glad we got this stupid Stewart thing out of the way because now the rest of the pieces can fall into place.

With posting style and quality being subjective, I'm honestly not sure what you mean. But hey, it's your playground, so consider the warning heeded.

It's a great move and JGR could use a top rider like Bubba. Let's face it. Bubba hasn't raced all year but he is one of the fastest and most talented riders ever in this sport. He might crash a little more often but he is not afraid to push the limits. That is what separates him from the rest.

I understand the Bubba hate but give the kid a break. That wrist injury he had could of ended his career.

It's going to be a Villopoto, Dungey, Canard, and Stewart battle every week. Nobody else can match those guys speeds. You can never count Reed out but I think Reed will hang it up soon.
What are you talking about Stewart hasn't raced "all year"??? This current year 2011 is not even over with and last I checked JS did race the 2011 Supecross series........right???

Seems logical. I think James has his eye one of those Joe Gibbs Racing nascars so this opportunity would fit well for him for the future.

The whole hat sideways thing does bug me. Anybody with their hat on sideways bugs me. Kind of weird if you think about it but straight forward is alright with me. Turned all the way backward is cool with me. But sideways...nope, not feeling it. Maybe too old, dunno. I could see the future VitalNascar board going crazy if he showed up like that during pre race interviews but we will have to wait and see.Unsure I degress, back to MotoX.

Yins are in for a rude awakening we are going to have another 5 person battle for first place each and every week will be deifferent. I dont think anyone in the world could race in this sx class and dominate each and every week. The talent is to great and to close.

Actually, JRI does their shocks and the forks are done in house. They have created a hybrid fork, using the parts from both KYB and Showa.

you maybe correct that james doesn't need a baby sitter, but coy will do what is best for jgr and the program. he won't coddle and baby james though. he will treat him like a grown man and hold him accountable.

Besides your avatar causing me to forget everything about this thread...what the fuck was I talking about again? Oh yeah, Stewart, JGR, outdoors...wouldn't he be contractually obligated to run both? Are you suggesting that he won't do it or will negotiate another sx only contract? If this is what you are saying, that thought never occurred to me, although, again, that could be due to your avatar.

he claimed hes racing outdoors next year @ LL IIRC....

but JGR races outdoors so why wouldn't he?

You guys fail to forget that his contract with his own team was SX only and it would of cost him money to go racing.

These guys are PROFESSIONALS, they don't race for free.

I know it's hard to understand since 99.9% of us have to slave away in the real world just to be able to go to the track on the weekend but these guys actually race to put food on the table.

although i hate to disagree and throw a monkey wrench into it, i think what might be holding this up is the jeff ward mike kranyak mystery bike/mystery rider team.

or perhaps its vice versa, and JS7 is holding them up?

Regardless of what you might think, JS7 could go to any team he wanted too. He is a championship contender. Maybe not the salary he wanted, but he could have gone anywhere accept MAYBE Kawasaki. If RV didn't want that they may have said no, but I don't see RV as the type to throw a fit over stupid stuff like that. If anything, it would motivate him even more.

Its already been confirmed that he was talking with Factory Suzuki, but hes obviously going to JGR, so he took the same bike and $ over a new bike and little $.

I'd say it is a little more than that. He was with J-Bone for years, JGR is a LOT closer to home, JGR isn't worried about money or possibly folding, not to mention their state of the art testing facility and their own R&D to make the bike the best it can be. James best years of racing as a whole were with J-Bone. If anyone can help James with bike set up, J-Bone has the best knowledge.

How quickly everyone seems to forget ..... What makes no sense at all to me is that even if Suzuki couldn't pony up as much cash as jgr and he doesn't like the yamaha why do it for money? This IS A proving year for him and being on the right bike is paramount, he has more money than god at this point why sign for more on a bike that doesn't jive with him? Imo he should've taken the pay cut to decimate the field and commanded a better salary.....besides I doubt ANY mfg salary is even a fraction of what he makes off personal sponsors ....he makes a killing off of his personal sponsors like red bull and Nike. If I were in his shoes and I'm not I would've went with a better bike (if that's the case) vs a payout and gamble on a bike that may or may not work for him. It's just my opinion based on my logic but I can't say what's what behind the scenes to me it makes more sense to get a good bike and crush everyone and exert his dominance

I don't really agree -- I think JGR was the best choice, both team and money-wise.

Suzuki lost its flair when DeCoster left, and now Goose -- and Dungey had a number of bike problems in 2011. Whereas JGR has proved they are the real deal and their team is completely solid. Not only is that a factor, but going with JGR was a lot more money (and don't be silly, money talks to everyone.), and JGR can offer a lot more exposure. Just look at the TV commercial they did with MIllsaps and Brayton. Doing something like that with Stewart would get him a ton of TV exposure too.

Overall, I think JGR is win/win. If anybody can eradicate the issues of that Yamaha and dial it in for Stewart, it's JGR.
