about this 8 days on bike comment...

I saw a photo of Dungey on a KTM right around Oct 1. so what if it wasnt his race bike it was a KTM. that is around two weeks. and another thing: how many days did RV have on his 2012 before he broke it out and proceeded to whip Dungey during the nationals? he probably didnt have that much more than 8 days on it either.

lol First maybe they don't ride every day of the week in the off season. Second Dungey changed brands...RV changed to an updated verison of his old bike..... big difference in my book.

Rv was flying on point and on rails....... Dungey got beat by that performance.

What is it you are trying to say?

Are you implying that second is no good?

Agreed, KTM's have completely different ergos, but RD is looking good on the bike.

I just thought it sounded lame. Like an excuse for not winning before the race even started.

I don't think Dungey went there to win the million.. I think he went there to get some race experience on the KTM before A1. I'm sure they learned a lot about the bike last night and what they have to before the SX season starts.

Did people expect him to come out and win? I thought he looked pretty good considering the new bike.

Even tho I'm an RV fan, I really didn't expect him to kill it like he did... 3 perfect starts helped I'm sure.

I'm a fan of both those guys....equally. But with that being said , I think RD was at a little disadvantage last night. They say it was eight days , and I believe it. reason why....was because about 3 before that , Davey Coombs interviewed him ( with a video ) at the KTM practice track , and even Ryan said ( this is my 5th day on the bike )

What I'm saying is....I think the 8 day thing is pretty legit. RV has had that 2012 now since the middle of the national series , and it looks like he is having it dialed in pretty well. Don't you remember the beginning of the season? When RD's Suzuki looked dialed , and RV bike didn't?

Same thing as last night. RV-Dialed.........RD-not dialed. BUT......when BOTH of them had bikes that were dialed , it seems the racing was quite a bit closer. I still think RV has just a "slight" margin of speed on RD though. What we saw of RD last night , is not even close to what we will see at A1 , or at the latest , by about the 3rd round. RV KNOWS it as well , and I'm sure he will be even faster than what we saw last night.

my $.02.

Dungey did a lot better than i expected him to do on the foreign bike. I didn`t think he lookded great on the bike (yet) but still managed to beat pretty much every other rider out there.

Pretty damn impressive me thinks.

X2. 8 days or 8 months...coming in 2nd to Ryan Villopoto in a million dollar race is a pretty fair result where I come from.

Dungey didn't really have it to beat Villopoto when it counted this year, so how could he be expected to do any different so soon?

Or that`s what they say. Some posters here been hinting about it a long time ago. From what I understood RV was riding the same bike all season and the rest was nice PR stuff.
