how does a team end up going in a direction that the team manager cant be involved in? wouldnt the team manager have some say in the teams direction?

i know team owners made the call obviously but it just seems really sudden. hopefully we will hear more about it soon and DV will end up somewhere good

Even managers have bosses. Mike Genova can be very hard to work with but in the end, right or wrong, he makes the final decisions. As the team owner and main sponsor, the money comes out of his pocket.

DV might have just lost his job and everybody talks crap. I guess none of you know it alls have ever lost a job before! DV is a good guy and one of the only insiders that posts here.

DV is better off with out that team. They are flaky and that team will go to Mikes son one day so really it don't matter...

Bummer, but even though I was very skeptical in DV's ability to do this job I got to admit that he made me eat crow. DV did good work for that team. Good luck to both parties.

Agreed. When I rider tries to make that transition there is always a question if they can pull it off. Most are crazy fast but not always the smartest. DV seems sharp and did a great job with that program when he took it over. He knows his stuff and seemed to love his job so I am curious what would make him walk away. Did his twitter mention if there would be more information coming or if there is all we get to know? Good luck to him and hopefully he moves onto something better!

I would like to see DV manage a two-stroke KTM factory satellite team with Mookie on the 125sx and Cedric Soubreyas on the 250sx, wide fucking open.

one can dream. Lord know that would not cause massive waves in the AMA world.

Maybe but his tweet gives the impression that he decided he did not want to be involved in what ever is coming. Seems like his decision based on that but who knows. Hopefully we know soon. Sucks getting only bits of info.

Crazy because after Fisher got got, Matthes tweeted jokingly to DV that he better watch out, he refrenced Throttle, Webb and Fish and asked who was next. Does Matthes have a crystal ball or was he just guessing like his footabll picks?
