Even though it is a quad rider, just thought you guys would like to see this video. Poulter tracks built this track for pro quad rider Chad Wienen. He broke his back very bad only after a few days of riding his new track. Check out the track though!

I can appreciate the speed, even though quads are not my thing.

I wonder how much dough it cost to have that sick track built.

That is one bad ass track. Poulter does a great job, he helps out at a couple tracks back in Illinois when he comes back here.

He also just redid the SX track at UnderGround and it is supposed to be awesome as well.

In the video at the end it said he would be riding after Christmas so considering how bad it was, that is good news

neysbo last I talked to chad I believe he or ryan bought the underground track? I could be wrong though.

Chad is in good shape, he was up and walking a week after surgery. He has two titanium rods and some screws holding his back together. He said after next season he plans on having them removed. He also had a slint splinter in the spinal cord but the doctor was able to fix it. Very, very fortunate.

He started working out again last week. So far so good.

That is an awesome set-up. How cool would it be to just roll down the hill from your house and onto a track like that. Then, after practice, go back up to the house, sit on the deck, crack a coldie and enjoy the view!

That guy is living the dream. Hope he makes a full recovery. Much respect Cool

I like quads blowing out the ruts because I fucking hate ruts to be honest. I like a nice smooth loamy corner any day over a rut.

Randy has been building tracks before he could drive (well, legally drive). I used to ride at his house weekly...or ride other tracks he built all over the area.

Good dude and really talented - does a lot of work for many pros all over the US. Highly recommended as you can see from that video.

you know, on a loamy/sandy track they arent so bad

but if the dirt is hard, they turn the tracks into a road course

that video reminds me of the old huevos videos...

How big is ATV racing? Do the top guys make the same amount of money as in MX?

No way! Not even ama roadracing guys make as much as the motocross guys and it's a way more expensive sport. From what i've read it's around 100 to 150k a year for the guys who are winning races for atv.

The initial setup to have a nice race quad is extreme. Even with the huge improvements the OEMs have made with better suspension and longer travel in the last few years, a guy still wouldn't want to race a stock quad at that level. You would instantly have the initial price of the quad (new or used) and you would immediately have to put some Elka or Ohlins suspension on it, longer trave A-arms, an extended axle, aftermarket swingarm, racing tires, extended brake lines, extended steering stem, steering dampner, nerf bars, and bumpers. Easily $3,500-$5,000 in aftermarket components before you even considered hitting the track.

Randy Poulters builds some badass tracks. I have rode some that he has built and even rode at the Poulter Compound. CW44 would lay waste to over half the people if not more the guy is amazingly fast on a Quad. Im not a Quad fan but the guy is a pleasureto watch indeed.

Randy and family now live in Kemp, Texas and own the track called underground. Randy can build Amazing things with dirt.
Underground is now THE premier track in Texas, Bar None!

Yes Randy for sure owns part or all of Underground , not sure on Ryan. They have totally changed it as well. Planning to get down there over Christmas
