Tell your amateur friend that AC92 got a ride somehow. You could also tell your amateur friend that "IF your deals are not done, that means you have NONE, so grab a bike and ride, you have no sponsors to piss off, only your fans, which I am not."
That said, I hope James decides to race while he still can and your amateur friend gets his deal done. Kid must have skills if JGR is looking at em. Will you avoid JGR is James AND your amateur friend signs with them?

AC92 got a ride with Pro Circuit, not JGR so what does Pro Circuit money have to do with JGR money. And yes he has "none" (so to speak) so therefore hes having to stand by to see what his next moves are, like buying 4 new bikes, what to set thme up with etc. Would be a waste to go one route and then get told "well JS7 is going to whatever, so now we have money for AM racing" then have to possibley sell everything you just bought.
I have no offiliation with JGR so they can do as they choose, I hope he gets JGR help but will not make "MY" decisions any different. Kid is fast!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Whether on JS7 rides there, I could care less if he rides at all, I support the riders who actually show up, not talk about showing up!!!!!
Don't get me wrong; I get that it's a tough situation to be in, I just don't think blaming the successful guy is the answer. I say strive to be better so you can't be denied. Actually, don't strive, BE BETTER so you can't be denied. If not, you may have to wait for others to get their stuff straight. I've experienced it myself. I have to be better or I'll continue to have to get in line and wait. That's all.
Bubba races dirtbikes for a living..... problem is, he doesn't race them very often, and when he does he either gets hurt or loses.... he is however still the fastest man on the planet for one race, an attribute that you'd think would suit him quite well for the Monster Cup.... the Million bucks he could win there might be more than all the win bonuses he'll make the rest of career... and if he can't run the pace, showing up and getting 7th at the Monster cup can't be any more embarrassing than his 2010 sx season, his TORC series debut, or that Red Bull flugtag he did a couple years ago......
