It's clear that Larry Brooks is not the reason Chad Reed didn't receive the rest of his contract money, it was Mike Kranyak that stopped paying him. Brooks was the fall guy, just like with everything that James Stewart pulled over the years. People blamed Brooks for all the negative actions, because he is the person at the races and the person that received the most attention.
Look at what has happened to that team since he left. It has fallen apart and now there is more litigation between Kranyak and Stewart.
In Mike Kranyak's interview on Racerx, he said that he directed Brooks and he was the money behind the team. So there could be no way that Brooks could stop paying a rider when the money was coming from Mike Kranyak. Correct?

Just read the interview with Mike Kranyak, he states in the interview that he directed the team so it had to be at his direction. Just going off what he said.
Seeming how I have been told by just more then one person.....that he was mostly the one who convinced Kranyak that LB was the problem with the bike. But jr. also went along with it...
Oh... & there's no way Dungey is going to KTM because he's sick of being in DeCoster's shadow.. LOL
IMO, the best interview on this came recently from Stewarts Suspension Guy. He said the decision was made by Mike & James, they came out of a meeting and let LB go.
And it was Big James that MOSTLY convinced Mike...and jr. went a long with it.
Even LB just kinda laughed the other night and said everyone is trying to make themselves look good in interviews, regarding the L&M fiasco.
Pit Row
I can''t believe some of you guys are siding with a team / owner / manager that willingly stole $750,000 from a rider. Yeah , a rule was broke. But Jesus Christ.......was it worth fining him $750,000?
It's like filing for divorce , and you get caught cheating with another woman.( But the papers were already filed ) Is it really cheating when you know you aren't getting back together with the woman you are divorcing? The paper work just hasn't gone through yet? You aren't allowed to move forward with your life until a certain date?
And like I said , I'm glad James dumped Larry. He had a couple bad years , but I bet he gets his shit strait for this next season and starts to show what he's capable of.
they tried all sorts of suspension etc..with no response
And yes the suspension was a major issue in the whole L&M fiasco along with a few other things.
"I thought Serg took put allot of blame on himself, saying he was not able to get the bike to work how Stewart wanted."
He prolly did put a lot of the blame on himself after Brooks was 86th...who else was there to blame?
"Also that he was pretty overwhelmed after LB was let go because he had to take over all of the bikes development"
Something tells me he may have possibly knew a lot more about what was going on and what was to come, then what he had stated.
He seemed to tell an easy story.
I enjoyed reading his interview....
But like I said before,it seemed a pretty sugar coated to me.
The one thing that no one has answered is, where the heck Yamaha was in all of this?
LB & Yamaha always had a close relationship from what I could always tell....
James was personally under contract Yamaha and you would think they would have had someone else also working on the bikes development or maybe had something to offer.Especially when he is their top SX rider..,.and a bike like that is in the public's eye every weekend. He brought in his own development guy in also.....which is sorta odd to me.
If the problems with the bike were really so bad & Brooks fault, what was Yamaha's take on all that?
Or did they not even want to be involved?
You would think the guy developing the bike would have some answers to these questions.
Post a reply to: bet james is wondering wtfwit when he told lb to get lost
