Hmm, sorry. Apparently the forum doesn't like table formatting.

South West Off Road Championship Series?

What a joke, those rounds in Cali in June, August and September should be fun if you like riding in blue grooved dust. Not to mention none of those places will be "true" off-road (not sure where that is in UT so maybe that one?) they will just take a dozer and plow out the course and call it off road.

I used to be a huge fan (and participant) of this series but it sucks nowadays.

I heard a rumor that KTM isn't going to field a WORCS team next year.

I don't see what that has to do with it, probably one of the stupidest things I've ever heard you say, usually your posts are a step above most that post here, but you've stooped to the level of others now I guess.

Don't you think for a "World" series it's kinda lame to have races only in one part of one country?

That schedule is a joke, period, unfortunately WORCS has ran off a huge part of it's following by charging too high of entry fees and having races in lame places so now they have to "settle" for catering to the racers they have left...spoiled rich kids, which isn't a true off-road demographic. Not to mention the 2 moto format for Pros.

It's sad really, that series used to be awesome, I remember the days of Abbot, Davis, Naughton, Woods, Smail, Pearson's, Garrahan's, Casselli, Hatch, Kiedrowski, Bonds.....those were the days.....now they are lucky to get 15-20 pros total and usually only 4-5 true contenders, which will be less if KTM doesn't have a team next year.

I guess from a business standpoint though it was probably a necessary move, those places will bring in more racers than they have been getting the past few years and I guess if that keeps the series rolling then that's a good thing because Sean and Pepper are good people.

Brian Head is a ski resort in Southern Utah (above Cedar City). Should make for an interesting race up there...I've never head of any other offroad races up there at all (or even a motocross track for that matter), but I don't know much about the area other than location.

This is a bummer. The Worcs races are a lot of fun, but there is no way that I will make to any of these now. I really liked the shorter race format for my classes (being a little over an hour). Up here to do an off road race, and race my class you have to race 2.5 hrs and that is damn much for my out of shape ass.

Not bagging on WORCS in particular, but why are there no national off-road events in the South-Central region? Serious question. Is it a lack of willing promoters, lack of suitable venues, or what? There is one National Enduro in Lubbock, but that just isn't the same. There is a huge off-road market in Texas alone, it's a shame the Oak Hill WORCS race went away.

I got laid today thank you...I to think this sucks.......WORCS is cutting their costs by keepin the event in the SW and raising the competitors costs (if they travel)...............Sad

SWORCS - this will not end well in the long run! Poor ROI strategy - all based on short term thinking - typical................

Brian Head? Interesting. Great terrain there. Something to look forward to.
